Get your feed bags off…

Get to the starting gate for hell’s sake…the Daily Dollar is about to begin – that’s how I felt about four hours ago.  It’s Friday night and only 15,459 runners donkeys showed up.  Don’t get your feet tangled or throw a shoe because you’re sure to be trampled in the mad race if you do.  And watch out for those that throw a shoe – be ready to duck and dodge all the insanity that makes the race what it is….A FRIGGING DONK FEST!  But that’s why they are so much fun, they cost a buck, you can get lucky enough to outrun some of them, and occasionally draw out, although it’s hard to draw out when you start with a real hand vs. their feed bag leftovers. I’m still in at two tables.

Little miss goodbehavior

I think I’m boring.  I never go out into the craziness of the world any more – like flinging money recklessly into a machine that never pays out or gets too much to eat, or sit down in a live poker game, or even go into a casino environment.  After spending 35 years with a daily diet of people going off their rocker (me too), it now seems a bit bizarre to think about how quiet my life is…to a degree.  It’s really been quiet now that my Dan has gone off to Phoenix. Poker and life

They seem to go hand in hand, but there are variables in each.  Lying in life is not a good thing and sometimes will cost you more than you know – in poker it’s OK, and expected.  Stealing can get you killed or put in jail or in serious jeopardy in life – but again, in poker it’s OK, and expected.  There are other differences too.  You can actually buy someone out of a car or a property or a contract…in online poker you ain’t buying anyone out of anything.  Ah-h-h…enough of that. Hanging at the new digs

No, not pictures or trinkety things that go on the walls, just me hanging out at the new digs.  It’s been a helluva struggle this last 3 weeks and yesterday was the 3 week anniversary of when we started making dump runs and working through the wreckage what was left behind in someone’s life.  Really!  For people to live in those conditions – and at least one of them had a job – their life was a wreck.  The bad neighbors were a huge benefit for me in the long run and I’m thankful they were what they were and hope their life improves on down the road somewhere…really far away from me and mine.  Now is definitely not the time for a deep dive into the darkness that mankind swims in most of the time so let’s drift on past that one. Still kicking – just not as high

Frankly I’m kinda dragging ass right now.  There’s a buttload of work to be done between my sis’s place and mine and the new place I plan on going to soon.  I think winter’s officially here since the humming bird feeder freezes 5 feet off the ground and the bird bath refuses to thaw out most days.  It was 28 degrees the other morning when I headed into Vegas to return Dan so he could go to work the following night. Crazy Daze at home

Spending your time out in the sticks would appear to be one of relatively quiet days with nothing but the wind  going on and the quail and doves chirping at each other as they try to kick the others ass off of the bird block.  The birds are squabbling with each other but there’s  always more going on than that.   I went out to throw garbage in the can and smelled propane a week ago.  Yummy! That’s a smell that makes you want to go somewhere else for a lot of reasons. Continue reading Crazy Daze at home
