Get your feed bags off…

Get to the starting gate for hell’s sake…the Daily Dollar is about to begin – that’s how I felt about four hours ago.  It’s Friday night and only 15,459 runners donkeys showed up.  Don’t get your feet tangled or throw a shoe because you’re sure to be trampled in the mad race if you do.  And watch out for those that throw a shoe – be ready to duck and dodge all the insanity that makes the race what it is….A FRIGGING DONK FEST!  But that’s why they are so much fun, they cost a buck, you can get lucky enough to outrun some of them, and occasionally draw out, although it’s hard to draw out when you start with a real hand vs. their feed bag leftovers. I’m still in at two tables.

Barely hanging on now, I got hit in the head with two low flying shoes that got kicked off by some insaniacs that can’t wait to give their chips away, one where I raised with A-J Spades with blinds at 800/1600, but not to worry, I got reraised all-in for another 16k by K-10 suited.  I did call.  Big pot, but I didn’t know he had what the online poker playing population regards more highly than Aces…FUCKING K-10.  It is the know all, end all, gotta play, gotta get all the chips in the pot with it, hand that I swear I see turned over more frequently than any other hand possibility.  He flopped 10s, I turned Aces, and he rivered a King.  That’s at one table. At the other table I raised with A-10 Clubs in late position and a first player limper called with q-9 of hearts.  He flopped a flush, I flopped top pair.  Nice!  He got a goodly chunk of my chips as I just couldn’t put him on a flopped flush…but WTF do I know?  Maybe the feed bag was still hanging over my eyes or there were brownies in it and I was deliriously trying to outrun the herd down through the canyons into the barn to get more brownies.  Am I bitter?  Nahhhh…I’m going back again tomorrow or the next day and trying again no matter what the end result is tonight.  I do know that I’m making a few pennies right now because we are down to 1,025 donkeys.

I played last night at three tables and got squashed like a big black bug in a run-away stampede.  The only part of it that was really funny is one table I had quite a few chips and was in the BB with K-K, the button raised, I raised, he went all-in.  Obviously I called and the pot was around 9k.  I held through the flop and turn and he caught an Ace on the river.  He typed in the chat “%%%*% FT”

I didn’t respond.

He typed, “The best hand never wins at Full Tilt.”

I typed “Are you upset because you won?  It’s just a game.”

He then went on to say that he didn’t care about this tournament and that Full Tilt owed him something from Rush Poker but I swear I couldn’t tell you what the hell he was talking about.  It was hysterical that he beat me and then seemed angry about it.

It didn’t matter, I stayed in long enough to make the $ in one game and that was it.

On the other side of life, it freezes here at night but the wind has quit for a few days and the days are nice…chilly, but nice.  I went walking with my neighbor Amy today and it was just about the right amount of cool with the sun shining brightly.  I need to get into walking shape again for my new dog.

The truck driving duo will be leaving either Monday or Tuesday after being here almost a week.  It’s completely different now that I live in the house next door instead of the RV on the same property.

I’m trying to figure out how to train the steady stream of humming birds I have at the feeder over there to come over here.  I’ve set up another feeder and I have visitors to it but going to the other one that’s been established is like watching the Las Vegas airport. Cleaning and filling the feeder will almost get you mowed down, that wild flurry of dive bombing buzz as they come in looking for food is c-r-a-z-y.  They stayed over the winter which I thought was kind of cool.  Amy has a feeder out too and hers is always busy.  Perhaps after spring hits and they have more food choices I’ll move it over here.  Any ideas?  Any hummie lovers out there?

g’nite!

  1. I really enjoy watching hummingbirds. It is fascinating at how they can just hover and they are so small and pretty. I played in a live game on Friday and only lasted 3 hands. That was a waste of money and time. I wish I could play online. Keep up the good work online.
