so does the days of our lives…soap opera not revisited. I had to leave early today to make the trip into Vegas to visit the tooth fairy dentist to pick up the hard retainer I’m supposed to wear at night when I want to gnash my teeth…perhaps we should market these things at poker games. All dressed up and
cake in my hair…OH NO! It seems like yesterday that I watched her being weighed in, measured, and bundled into a tiny ball in a blanket and thrust into my arms where I got to experience her very first sneeze in life.
Come and play H.O.R.S.E.
with us in about 7 hours and 20 minutes:
PokerWorks will hold its 2nd H.O.R.S.E. Tournament today, the 7th of September, at 2100 ET at PokerStars. The buy-in is $5+$0.50, the password is ‘donkeys’.
Once you’ve signed in to PokerStars, hurry to the ‘tourney’ tab and select ‘private’ and scroll down to 21:00 and look for ‘Poker Works Family’. You will also find it under ID #104507861.
If you’ve downloaded the latest version of PokerStars, and can’t find the tournament, check your ‘tournament filter’. Mine wasn’t set to show a lot of things…like lower limit tourneys, HORSE and RAZZ and a lot of other things.
Please come and join us, everyone is welcome. *obvious begging*
The Republican Net Nannys
I have complained, bitched, screamed, and in general had a fit for the last two years about the UIGEA and the fact that America is not the land of the free. This post is not really any different than most of the previous ones except I want to share a picture. Continue reading The Republican Net Nannys
The next day after a day gone bad
I called the Valley Auto Mall in Pahrump and made an appointment to take the Steed in. They would be open at 8 a.m. on Friday. Riot and I made a trip to the store and he got into screamer mode on the trip. I laughed. We went to Super WalMart and he got a new Hulk toy. As we were in check out, he entertained two girls behind us that appeared to be about 7 and 10. Their mouths were open as he curled his lips and snarled and made all kinds of faces. *too freaking funny to describe* Continue reading The next day after a day gone bad
Some days are just
days gone bad. That’s how Wednesday went. Set the alarm, crank myself out of bed because I never sleep when I know I should. Must be the four year old in me…no wonder Riot and I relate so well. I made Las Vegas by 10 a.m. Meaning I was a few hours early for my dental appointment and that made me happy. Continue reading Some days are just
John McCain is trying to save us
from ourselves. Kee-rist! Do people ever get tired of trying to force other people to think like they do and behave according to some credo that would make all of us a bunch of stereo type dummies? Continue reading John McCain is trying to save us
Some bits n pieces
PokerWorks’ HORSE tournament was so damned much fun. It’s one of the few tournaments I’ve played in that I really had a lot of fun. You can pick up the final tournament report here. And we will have another one set to go – same format, buy-in, etc. – checking here will keep you updated. Continue reading Some bits n pieces
Poker-minus brain cells-minus BR=
some sort of insanity. I’ve had some bad runs before but this one is close to topping the charts. Of course I’m a donkey, there was never a doubt. I’m sure I pitch hands that I should be charging into the pot with, I see others do it and they win, but I’m in the run where nothing I throw away would drag the chips. That did change on one hand yesterday, but it was brief mistake made by the Card Fairy as she tried to lure me into playing ATC when I was desperately trying to make the $ in a $2.20 180 man turbo SNG. I would have made a FH with 8-6 off had I cared to dump the last of my chips into the pot UTG. I didn’t. I did make the $ and got back a win of around $2. Life in the Slow Lane
I think I’m there. Life isn’t slow for me however. I have a continual run of things to do but not too many places to go. Except yesterday I had several stops to make around town and managed to accomplish all in about a 3 hour time span. Pahrump is pretty damned big, not congested with traffic and people streaming across the streets but BIG, sprawling, everything is spread out without a central downtown type of core.
