The next day after a day gone bad

I called the Valley Auto Mall in Pahrump and made an appointment to take the Steed in. They would be open at 8 a.m. on Friday. Riot and I made a trip to the store and he got into screamer mode on the trip. I laughed. We went to Super WalMart and he got a new Hulk toy. As we were in check out, he entertained two girls behind us that appeared to be about 7 and 10. Their mouths were open as he curled his lips and snarled and made all kinds of faces. *too freaking funny to describe*

As life goes, we didn’t go to bed early that night and pulling Riot out of the Sandboy land was horrible. He was not a happy child. We left the Steed at the shop and got a ride home from Jaun, driver from the shop. As soon as we hit home Riot decided he was awake enough to go out in the heat and ride his John Deere truck/tractor whatever the hell it is. The battery was charged and his was too, away he went, careening around the property and he had to be shown where reverse was and how to steer out of the bushes he managed to tangle with. It was funny too. Naw, I didn’t buy that for him. He’s had it awhile but no battery…that’s the story I got. The boy needs Driver’s Ed.

I got a call a few hours later that the Steed was ready, I had asked them to change the oil, etc., too. The window problem was a fuse. And yes, my son thought about fuses, I had left the manual at home in the coach. He even tested some of them but couldn’t find anything without the manual. When I got home and things settled down, I checked the owner’s manual…it was a 30 amp breaker thingey that was listed for the windows. This kid ain’t messing with that. Cost of fuse? $65 with labor. Cost of oil change? $98. Umn-huh! It only takes 15 quarts of oil. That’s the first one I’ve paid for cause the Steed has been on a maintenance policy up until recently.

The Poker Wars continue. I’ve had such a hard time trying to overcome the Card Fairy in the tournaments. She’s got me talking to myself. I think mid week will find me going out to play live in Pahrump or at least checking out the scene and seeing what’s available.

PokerWorks has a freeroll everyday during the month of September, if you ain’t playing, you’re nutzzzz. Look for them on the index page under Special Freerolls & Tournament calendar

  1. Nope, no local gas stations for the Steed. That big boy is always going to go to Ford if there are issues. I wouldn’t take you to a witch doctor if you had a heart attack either. 🙂

  2. Might be a good time to check out the local gas stations. There’s always one decent one around. All dealers use the Chilton book for average/minimum time and they are always the premium spread.

That’s one big a__ oil cooler for the towing package.
