I must not be the only one that ever wonders WTF the feds were really accomplishing when they shut down online poker to the masses. And I must not be the only one that feels I possibly could have started to glean a nice little weekly stack from grinding online. And it’s possible I would score in tournaments too. I feel I got cheated in more ways than one by the U.S. government over the years and online poker is, once again, at the top of the “Linda-got-cheated” stack.
Our longest running online poker promotion at PokerWorks has been with PartyPoker – $50 Free – but it’s coming to an end. This is part of my bitch with the government – I never got $50 Free at PartyPoker. Sure as hell I would’ve if the feds hadn’t gotten in the picture. If you are a non-USA player, better grab the bonus while the grabbing is good. I missed out on a lot of other free money bonuses too. *sniff*
Perhaps one day the feds will even get around to choosing the team that’s going to disburse Full Tilt Poker funds to U.S. players. That was to be settled in January.
The good news is that by the end of the year – possibly before – I could be playing online poker in Nevada. I have to hope my ISP shows me as coming in from NV and not out of CA or somewhere, since I live in the sticks it’s hard to say where geo-targeting will show my pc at.
No bad news here…just ‘blah’ news. My super energy bursts have disappeared for parts unknown and hibernation sounds wonderful. I’m out for now…looking for that spark.
Does losing Party mean party has no place in any of the States side start ups? It’s amazing the politicos don’t have that same love of the site many players have.

I played at Party years ago and got lucky to not have any money on their site when they left the U.S. market. I think my brother-in-law still has $ on there but could never figure out how to get it. I’m sure it wasn’t a gigantic chunk or he would’ve stay hot on it.
I managed to cash from Party a number of time. Wish we could still play EVERYWHERE.
