The Moon’s Promise of Tomorrow’s Light

Two nights of great moon sightings restores my inner feeling of peace.  I have been a busy little worker bee but stopping to stare at the moon as it slowly entered the evening sky was on the top of my priorities.  The first night it was up and translucently beautiful before the sky started to even lose its light to the encroaching shadows of night.

A stay indoors kind of day

It’s one of those days, kind of gloomy, kind of cold, and windy as hell.  The wind has been on a rampage for the last three days and it definitely cools everything off this time of year.  It seems as if we go from summer, to a few days of fall, to winter.  And while 45 to 50° may not be too cold to some of you, I’m freezing my ass off when it hits.  I turned the heater on yesterday, actually the furnace, and set it to about 62 to 63°.  I prefer to wear a flannel jacket and keep my body warm, to having the air I breathe hot and stuffy so I normally keep the heat turned down. Oh my weary head

I made a run into Las Vegas on Thursday and picked up my kicking buddy Riot…just kicking back, playing some video games, kicking up the dirt outside…that kind of kicking.  And picked up more patio tile from Home Depot while I was there.  Way too much of it.  it’s now setting in little strange lines around my other gravel pitching endeavors where i will begin to put it together in a kewl kind of formation.  I already started a patio area of tile and gravel, this will be a continuation.  Hell, Rome wasn’t built in a day either. I have checked through all of my account options, looked at everything I can think of to look at, and I admit to being stymied by the fact that I have to occasionally log in to my Gmail account if I want to check it on the Internet even though I have the ‘remember me’box checked.   I use Thunderbird as my e-mail client and it checks my Gmail accounts but every now and then I go in to the account online to see if anything is trapped in the trash or spam filters that I should be getting. PokerWorks H.O.R.S.E. and a little more

First let’s talk about poker and how insane it really is.  Sunday was our biweekly PokerWorks H.O.R.S.E. tournament.  It was actually my third or fourth tournament of the day.  I had qualified earlier in the week to win a piece of Chino Rheem in PokerStars Million Dollar Men Challenge and actually won a seat in a satellite that I bought into with frequent player points.  Continue reading PokerWorks H.O.R.S.E. and a little more
