I think I’m not. I’ve really never known what category I fit into, it never seemed important and it still doesn’t but sometimes rolling thoughts crash into each other and create echoes. Continue reading Poker Bloggers

It’s a wonderful Wednesday
It’s about 74 degrees, no wind, pleasantly bright and sunny, and I’ve got the whole day to do nothing. WRONG! I’ve got the whole day to digest life, do some computer work, contemplate stepping back into live tournament/ring game play and decide just how pokerish oriented I can get. I read poker every day now, but as far as thinking it? Umnhhh!!! Continue reading It’s a wonderful Wednesday
“Crime does pay!”
“If it didn’t, there wouldn’t be criminals.” That was profoundly stated to me by a Juvenile Probation Officer, years ago, as I sat in front of him with one of my sons. Over the years it’s jumped into my thoughts in completely ridiculous brain rants that are related to nothing. At this point, it is completely related to every thing that has been going on in poker forums and newsgroups and mainstream articles about cheating and the internet. Continue reading “Crime does pay!”
Darn it all to hell…
my internet satellite is still out there – lurking on the roof of the coach – pretending to be something useful other than a paper weight to help keep the coach on the ground when the wind takes off in Vegas. I’d refer to it as a boat anchor but God forbid the coach would ever take a dive into a lake or a stream…agh! Continue reading Darn it all to hell…
The Absolute Poker investigation
I admit to being a bit sick (in a lot of ways that have nothing to do with poker), and not because I chose to take the high road and state that I didn’t believe upper management/owners would do such a thing because they made too much money to try to cheat the players, I just hate to see that side of humanity – that’s why I’m sick. I hate that weasely, crappy, underhanded side of people that figure out ways to punish the rest of us for being fair and honest. There’s a lot more info out on the internet than I could ever provide. Absolute Poker and Super User
I received several comments on my last blog post, and while I do believe I’m not as informed as I could be, I don’t agree that someone in upper management or ownership of the site is involved in collusion or cheating. I do believe it’s possible for unscrupulous employees to take advantage of situations and steal. Of course I don’t just believe it, I know it happens. I remember several poker dealers that were removed from the poker room in handcuffs, and a few floor personnel that were fired for the same reasons. I hate it. It gives everyone a bad name and the theory that cheating runs unchecked everywhere in gaming just makes the future appear a bit darker. Continue reading Absolute Poker and Super User
There’s a lot of noise
going on about the WCOOP Main Event and ‘TheV0id’ being stripped of his $1M plus win, the bracelet, and all things good and golden when you win a major tournament, due to game integrity. There’s also a lot of things going on with Absolute Poker and game integrity right now. Continue reading There’s a lot of noise
PokerStars 2007 World Blogger Championship – out
I just went out 199th. ugh! I tried to run over 9-9 with A-KS. I had 22,424 in chips UTG, I raised 6K making it 8K, got raised by cwebb1977 for another 8k – total of 16K. I went all-in for 6224 more. The blinds were 1k/2k antes 200. I could have pitched when I got reraised. But in all honesty, I’m not sure what I would have been waiting for in a hand, if I had. PokerStars 2007 World Blogger Championship – still in
We’re on the 2nd break now. Play resumes in 3 minutes. There are 415 players left on 47 tables. The blinds are going to 500/1000 ante 75. I’m wounded. Average stack is 32216 – I’m at 16,600. All I can do now is hope that I don’t make any mistakes (that’s always the #1 flaw in my game). I can’t help it if I get out drawn or if I can’t find a playable hand…my best choice is not to make any mistakes.
PokerStars 2007 World Blogger Championship – continued
I survived first break, the next one is in 34 minutes – blinds are $300/600, in four minutes the blinds go to 400/800. There are 700 players left on 78 tables. And they are dropping like flies. I’m below average stack. I’m not making hands, stealing a bit now and then. If I make it past the next break, it’ll be because the Card Fairy finally smiled on me. 🙂
