The Absolute Poker investigation

I admit to being a bit sick (in a lot of ways that have nothing to do with poker), and not because I chose to take the high road and state that I didn’t believe upper management/owners would do such a thing because they made too much money to try to cheat the players, I just hate to see that side of humanity – that’s why I’m sick. I hate that weasely, crappy, underhanded side of people that figure out ways to punish the rest of us for being fair and honest. There’s a lot more info out on the internet than I could ever provide.

I can’t help but wonder, if the site is found guilty, what the punishment will be…or if one of their ex-employees is the bad guy, what his punishment and his friend’s punishment should be. Throw some thought into that and meet me in the forum for an exchange of terrible things to lay on the creeps. And what will happen to Ultimate Bet and Absolute Poker since Absolute acquired Ultimate Bet. There are a lot of great people involved in Ultimate Bet that I really hate to see lose everything they’ve worked for over the years, just because of some petty creep.

And what if the charges aren’t true? The damage is done. It’s brutally painful in a world where everyone believes they are being cheated unless they win. And there will always be some souls that think the independent gaming company that is doing the investigation is on the take so it’s all rigged.

I like to believe that bad people always get their due. Possibly not in the form that we would like to see them get it in – like splinters under their fingernails – or them watching a bottle of water break when it hits a rock after being thrown from a passing motorist as they stand in the desert with temperatures of 100+ when they are 150 miles from the closest dwelling – someone lighting the splinters under the fingernails – losing every penny they ever made honestly and being robbed of every penny they ever stole by someone smarter than they are…
