I made a trip into Wynn on Friday. It was my second visit to the place, I cruised in on Wednesday night, after work with Wayne, hoping to find Andy Beal and Craig Singer for a hello hug. They were nowhere on Wednesday. Thursday found me being too tired to fade the traffic and life to get there before work so I made it a point to visit again on Friday as I had the day off. The game was on. I got to say hello and get a hug from Andy and Craig. Other ‘hellos’ included Ted Forrest, David Oppenheimer, Michael Craig, Amy Calistri, and a few words with Marco Traniello. The only news I’ve heard on the match between Andy Beal and Todd Brunson is that the Flop, on the first hand, was 7-7-7. Appropriate. And that Todd made quad 10’s at one point and the pot was big, apparently Andy had a hand with enough value to be there to the River. They were Playing $50K-100K limit. Today the game was supposed to crank at 10:30 AM – Jennifer Harman and Andy. Continue reading Thursday, February 02, 2006

Well just for all of you kids that are interested, the word is that Todd Brunson will be playing Andy Beal in a few hours at Wynn in Las Vegas. I’m out of the ‘know’ on any of it so if any of you are hanging out and visit the scene, fill me in please. The question is, who gave in to who? Hell if I know. Take one Lifestyle® 25 Series II home theater system, Bose of course, in a confined space (like my new living quarters), add his ‘Royal Badness’ (the King of Kewl – Prince), a bottle of Beringer White Zin – the house is clean, really…really clean – it’s almost midnight after a long weekend and tons of things to do and most of them accomplished, and I’m going to write until I fall off my chair. And add pictures. If I just stop in the middle of a sentence, you’ll know I fell off the chair. Continue reading Sunday, January 29, 2006

A shortie. I may end up reformatting my hard drive sometime this weekend. #*)^+|)*&@!!! I made it two years with Windows XP, which is the longest I’ve ever made it with any operating system, without having to reformat. Little glitches here, little glitches there. Crap! Then a few ultra big glitches. I will have to see how I feel about it and how much time I have set aside to mess with it…and if the ‘glitches’ continue. Continue reading Tuesday, January 24, 2006

Right this second; I am trying to win a pot with my favorite hand, K-K, in a $3-6 H game on Party. And yippee! *drum roll* I did. As I write and play, I won’t bore myself, or you, with the details of my play. Back to last week Continue reading Monday, January 23, 2006

Tuesday night, even though it was my Tuesday, I was out to play as soon as I clocked in. I jumped into a $4-8 H game on Table 8 and scrambled around for about an hour before I asked for a transfer. I won a few pots and then threw away K-K on the Flop; I was beat by both of the other players at the end of the hand (but only by one on the Flop). *pat self on back* A+ for the lay down Continue reading Friday, January 20, 2006

Badugi is up and running at Bellagio…only hitch is that it can only be played in Black Chip games so if you hoped to play it at a lower limit swallow your dismay and disappointment or take out a loan on your house. What exactly is it? It’s a four card low game – not of the same suit – best possible A-2-3-4 – played like Deuce to 7 Triple Draw. With a few complications – A-2-3-3 is a three-card hand as the pair takes one of the cards out of play. The same thing happens if you have two of a suit in the hand, it then becomes a three-card hand. That should give you an idea. Continue reading Tuesday, January 17, 2006

My brain is asleep but my body just doesn’t know it yet. I may fall off the chair and just lay where I fall as soon as my body succumbs to the lack of brain waves. Before this happens, a finish up of the beginning of ‘full timing’. Continue reading Monday, January 16, 2006

The 11th found me short on sleep and anxious to get started. These three were arriving at 8ish and they were going to load some of the things in my garage and home that were going home to live with them. Continue reading Sunday, January 15, 2006
