Well just for all of you kids that are interested, the word is that Todd Brunson will be playing Andy Beal in a few hours at Wynn in Las Vegas. I’m out of the ‘know’ on any of it so if any of you are hanging out and visit the scene, fill me in please. The question is, who gave in to who? Hell if I know.

Back to my corner of the world. I’ve skirted around dealing for about a week now. There’s no ryhme or reason to any of that but I’m just in the play mode and the room’s been fairly slow so it’s working out for me. One of the biggest pitfalls to job productivity is having a quiet poker room. In a normal job, one goes to work knowing they must work if they want to keep their job…in poker it’s a completely different animal. The upside of the room being slow is that all the rooms are slow. Too many places open and still new ones are opening. How long before the doors will close on some of them? Umnhhh!!! Poker is still on a huge upswing, it could be a long time…maybe it’s like ‘If you build it, they will come’.

But while dealing a week ago, a $80-160 H – after announcing it was a Time Pot and collecting $8 from a walking player, four people took the Flop for a raise. No one bet on any street and they ended up playing the board, splitting the pot four ways…they each lost $6 due to the Time. Hysterical!! This is a complete first in my history of poker dealing.

While sitting down in the Box of a $4-8 H game, my foot hit something. I looked down to find a miniature bottle of Jack Daniels, full, seal unbroken. I picked it up and set it on the table with, “Anyone drop this?”

The conversation took off but no one claimed it. The two seat said he’d take it if no one else wanted it. Take it he did…and drank it, sucking out it’s contents, bit by bit, until it all disappeared – about 15 minutes. Phglaghghgh…Phooie! Everyone in the game was fun. We jumped into a conversation about online poker rooms and I talked about the Avatars on Party and how if I sat in certain seats, I looked like a ‘lusty, busty babe’, and they roared. Hell if I can remember most of the conversation that rolled around that game but I remember laughing a lot.

I haven’t dealt any big games in quite awhile. And seriously, I don’t miss them. I’m sure I’ll have my chance one day again soon but until then…

I have pictures to format and put up of a skip through The Palms and my game play there on Sunday but that’s going to take more time than I have right now. The Sand Woman is calling me to sleepy land – sometimes I wish that bitch would shut up and go snooze.
