I got to see it early this a.m. What a spectacular treat, especially from my spot in the desert. I almost missed it because I thought it was supposed to be red around 2 a.m. Luckily for me, I got a text from one of the truck driving duo and ran out onto the deck. There it was!!!
I wanted to take a picture but I couldn’t even see the moon in the view finder, too dark. The sky had a black velvet feel to it and the stars looked like you could reach up and pick them from the sky — and there, like a finely polished stone, blooming right in the center of your greatest dreams, there she sat. Beautifully alone, beautifully graceful, and she was the show! A few stars off to the right were bright, but nothing could compare to this sight IMO.
Riot is here with me for 10 days due to Spring Break, we were up playing a game on the Wii and Dan was back in his room on the computer, I called them both.
They didn’t stay out gazing at the beauty as long as I did, but they were impressed. I can honestly say it’s a first for me…an experience I may never get to have again. Here’s a link, go see it and read about it!
I’ve taken half a zillion or so pictures of the moon since I got a digital camera, some of them are pretty phenomenal and sprinkled throughout the blog. Some of the more recent ones are on Facebook.
I took this one back in 2006 and don’t believe I’ve published it anywhere, including here, but I found it the other day when I was searching for something else. Go figure! So I saved it to my desktop so I wouldn’t lose it again.

A solution has been reached in the Borgata counterfeit chip incident. I don’t agree with the decision. But I don’t agree with the government either and no one even breaks a sweat on how I deal with those kind of issues. Can’t tell you how happy I am that I wasn’t chip leader in that tournament when it got cancelled.
I get this sick feeling in my stomach when those type of beats are shoved in your face. One of the sickest beats IMHO is the one where UB Poker Player ODESSA99 took down an amazing $340,875.15 in a bad beat jackpot on February 28th, 2011. Think about Black Friday…do you think ODESSA99 ever got to cash out? As far as I know, and of all the things I haven’t heard, I’m guessing the answer is no. At least PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker players got their money back. But nothing has ever seeped back to the players from UB and Absolute Poker.

I’m rolling off and on at the WSOP.com. Got lucky the other day and won a $25 rebuy/add-on tourney and that’s paying the freight while I try to win with Aces, Queens, top two pair, and a bluff or two. Nothing’s working right now. I hate those times.
