Let’s See

The wheelbarrow needs a new tire.  Doesn’t seem important until you load it full of #2 gravel and it won’t move.  The tire’s been filled up so many times it’s like an old gas guzzling caddie on a high speed run across the country.  The sides of the tire have dry rot – and who knows how old it actually is.

Wall-E went back to the storage shed yesterday.  He’s a damn cute, little wireless controlled robot about 2 feet high from the movie and video games.  When Kayanna was here and discovered Wall-E was available, she wanted to play.  We got him out and he went through some functions but we never charged his battery pack well enough to have him do all the things he can do.  Then Riot came out to play – he was one of Riot’s Christmas gifts last year – and when Riot saw Wall-E he insisted we paly.  Wall-E sat on the couch and watched a movie with Riot, and did all sorts of walk arounds, dance to the music, and talked.  After Riot went home, Wall-E went back to sleep for a few months.  We have a Wall-E Wii game but I can’t play because it makes me sick – motion sickness – so that went to live with Riot a long time ago.  Perhaps one day Wall-E will come back out to play again but he’s better off in my shed right now and sleeping until someone decides he has to come out.

Today is the 2nd day – in a row – that I’ve gotten up withOUT the cotton balls in my head and sleep gel holding my eyes at half mast.  I didn’t even take a nap yesterday and things are starting to look up…I seem to be focusing.  Way weird!  But you know how a day can go, that can all change in a heartbeat.

My dentist visit went quite well.  The back of several top front teeth were ground down a teensy bit – the lower teeth had a bit taken off of the top of them in spots.  At the cost of the teeth, I figure the dentist just whittled about $600 or more out of my mouth in a few minutes.  But it feels much better.

And I got another hard suckdown.  Sounds so damn nasty doesn’t it?  If you like pain I suppose it is.  It’s a clear plastic appliance made to fit my upper teeth when I’m feeling grinding mode coming on or at night for sleeping.  Problem is it fits very snug, probably tighter than a condom boys – I’ve never worn one so I can’t offer a true comparison – and it will hold my teeth exactlly in place and that’s been part of the problem, they move around like a fiddler on a Saturday night at a barn dance…but they tell me everyone’s teeth move all the time, they just don’t notice.  With it fitting very snug, it creates pressure in my jaw and soon I have a nifty little shooting fucking pain in my head.  Oh well.  The evil tooth seems to be at rest and hasn’t been bumped or gouged for 24 hours since leaving the dentist – and I didn’t wear the suckdown to sleep last night.  I’m much happier about all of it right now.  My dentist says it sometimes takes some time to get it all worked out…

How do I hate poker, let me count the ways…never mind.  That was for you Clearspine…he who walks on water!  I can’t wait for the next rumble at the PokerWorks Family Tournament…what shall we play?  We could just do one game and not a mix – as suggested by Glenda.   How about one game, using the 8 game format rotation, that way we can all suffer accordingly/appropriately in the games we dislike…ahhh…come on now…who dislikes any of them???  Opinions anyone?

  1. This one’s for you, Linda. Played an 18-player sng last night. Off to a good start, then got K-K, and raised 6X after two limpers. One guy called who I had well covered. Flop of 8-4-2, 60% of pot bet, he calls. Four on turn, I put him all-in, he calls with…… A-2, and then rivers the A. Three hands later, A-A in BB. UTG raises, I push for last 500+, he calls with…… K-Q suited. 3-4-J flop, none of his suit. Can you see where this is going? 9 on turn, 10 on river. Was going to blog it, but wanted to do a piece on my mom this morning, which I’m working on now. Don’t jinx me, girl.
