The chilled wine glass

was filled with low fat vanilla yogurt, the banana was peeled…dinner has been served.  It’s partly the teeth thing.  Partly the mood thing.  The dental visit was…yes it was.  It was a four and half hour engagement that left me with a sore chin and my nose wasn’t really happy either.

Things are still a bit screwy.  I’m wearing suck downs.  Umnhhh!  They are a soft dental appliance that covers your teeth, kind of like a sport’s mouth guard only lighter.  So far it seems to have kept my lips from blowing up through an allergic reaction to the temporaries that sit on my lower front 6 teeth and my upper front six teeth.  Those temps are all one piece which has to add to a bit of the strange feeling of pressure.  And my bite has changed drastically with my upper molars being built up…my jaw isn’t enjoying any of this right now.  It’s difficult finding a ‘good feel’ set point for my teeth.  In three weeks it will be about a 6 or more hour engagement when the permanent doodlie-dos go on.  I can hardly wait.  For the first time in almost a year and half, the evil tooth isn’t sensitive when I touch my upper lip…WHEW!  Where is that hot young guy I wanted to mash lips with…come on, Baby!  Men, they are never around when you want them to be and then when you want them to leave, you can’t get rid of them.

All of the Linda trials aside, things are good.  The desert is heating up.  The sis and I planted some Pampas grass in various spots on the property and my small attempt at a green wall is looking very good – the five vines are starting to show a lot of new growth.

On a real downer note, my friend and a member of our Pan Game group, Ryan Schlosser, is in the hospital.  He played in our last PokerWorks 8 Game tournament and also a few weeks before that.  His wife, Tami, gave me a report tonight that sounded hopeful.  He apparently just couldn’t breathe and has been on oxygen, tonight he was off of it and breathing on his own.  Damn it!  Get well Ryan!

Can’t stay, can’t play, it’s the end of the day.  G’nite!
