It’s a day

that almost would lead one to believe that March did go out like a lion.  It’s deceptive.  There’s a slight breeze, the sun is warming the air, and it follows a hellerly awful storm we had on Friday night.  The wind hit that afternoon, just as Greg texted me and said he and Amy were leaving Vegas and would see me soon.  The ugly wind.  It raged and screamed and brought a waterfall with it.  The rain hit.  The silt turned to quagmire as is always the case – Greg and Amy got to experience a teensy bit of it because I didn’t catch them in time to tell them to walk only on the gravel.

Their time with me was spent on general catching up and they both spent a session in my favorite chair, the massage wonder from heaven. Then we headed to The Winery.  We had a great meal.  I even tasted about 3 tablespoons of a bottle of wine they ordered.  They headed back to Vegas, I headed for home; very enjoyable time for me.

As always seems to be the case, I didn’t fall asleep until after 1a.m. and was up by 5:30 and on the road to Vegas by 7:30.  I was picking up some tools from the old digs and unfortunately, one of them happened to be in Boulder City.  UGH!  That added 50 extra miles to the day.  By the time my son and I picked up all the tools, had some breakfast with Riot, and returned my son to the old digs, it was after 3p.m. when Riot and I headed out of town towards home.  Dragging butt I was.  And I even managed to get the tools unloaded and into the shed before I gave up all signals of energy patterns.

Riot and I did a walk around searching for rabbits – we did see rabbit poop, we watched a movie – Dragon Hunters – and we colored Easter Eggs.  It was fun and he was very excited about it – I believe this is a first for him.  He won’t eat any of the eggs.  We have preserved them in an egg carton in the refrigerator and he’s taking them home with him.  He has one that is his favorite and he has to check on it now and then to make sure it’s OK.  I thought about an Easter Egg hunt but haven’t gotten out to do. And he played Sponge Bob on the Wii while I managed a bit of work before it was time to pass out.  Strange, but it’s one of the best night’s sleep I’ve had in a long time (the tooth thing ruins most nights of sleep – either the retainer or the de-programmer affects my night of rest – both are torture chambers from hell).  Since Riot’s in school every week day now, he will go home this p.m. and we’ll be meeting either mom or dad at the top of the hill around 3p.m.

Not much poker for me the last few days…simply no time to play…but I expect to be back in the grind tonight sometime.

Yesterday was the PokerHack’s B-day.  *sings the song and claps hands* Happy Birthday to you!

Tomorrow is the truck driving sis’s birthday and Sunday is my oldest sis’s birthday, and Riot turns 5 at the end of the month.  WHOOT!

See ya!
