WPBT – July 8, 06 – Caesar’s Palace II

*Post Continued*

I’m cranking on the next phase of the Blogger shindig – and I’m tired – and I’m learning another phase of a Word Press upgrade. It’s a little bit mind shredding at times but the programmers I work with are the greatest. They’ve helped me on every step that I almost faltered on…sweet! Serge – Sarunas – Niekas – and the latest one that came to my aid – Bilikas. Thanks you guys – you’re the ‘stone nuts’!

I have a lot of photos of the blogger event and rather than try to do names and work my way through that right now – with intros and all – I want to sprinkle photos randomly through this post. Of course I have a lot more photos that are going to be sprinkled in other posts. And another little backtrack is in order. On Friday, the 7th, I received a call from Craig Singer (The Sweater), he was in town and wanted to know if we could meet that night…it wasn’t going to work out for me. I asked him if he could attend the WPBT for the two hour session before game time. Perfect! He had two hours to kill before flying back hom to family in Texas. I cherish him as one of my great friends that I’ve met in the poker world. He be kewl.

The crew from Tennessee – Lydia, Rachel, and Jason ‘Spaceman’…I first met them when they came to Vegas for the ‘clan jam‘. Great people!

This picture of Pauly had me cracking up. He was snagging a picture of one of the guest speakers, and trying to brace the camera for a low light shot, but what it actually appears as – he’s a detective or a spy doing cloak and dagger work:

Detective Pauly

Falstaff failed to wear his kilt this year. When asked why, he said he didn’t want the hot desert air up around his balls. And there were other inuendos and comments about people that might be helping him locate them if he was wearing a skirt. Maybe you had to be there…but it was damn funny. And the air is so hot…probably hotter in that area.

Jason “Spaceman” was first out of the tourney. He held a flush and ran into a bigger flush from his buddy, Michael Craig. Jason received the ‘Gigli’ award for being first out. Oddly enough, Michael Craig was knocked out last year when he played A-A – and the same thing happened this year. But this is Jason, accepting his award.

Jason - 1st out!

The random run of photos – enjoy:
