when i was a kid – like eight or ninish – Hells Bells was the ultimate swearing expression. Not around mom though, she would have ‘boxed our ears’ or something that wasn’t pleasant…never piss off the Pope Mom!!! I learned how to swear after growing up, having children, marriages, etc. But I really learned how to swear after I got into the poker industry. Man-o-howdy-doo-dee! I can match potty mouth for potty mouth with anyone in the world. I can turn it totally off in certain situations, like grandkids, family, and social settings.
Right now I’m so impressed with the wind that I am back to Hells Bells – that is the only way to fully express what is going on outside.
I thought at one point that I should step outside, check out the back area of the coach, just to see if something was ripping loose or getting ready to blow off or away. Then I was like, “Screw that!” But over 15 minutes ago the power went out, not only in the court but down the whole of Boulder Highway it appears. Of course I am not running out to the street to check. I did run outside and turn off the power at my meter box – yes, dummy, I turned off the breakers inside first – and then cranked up the Onan. Damn…I knew there was a reason I bought all those expensive gadgets for this place two years ago. Now I have power while everyone around me does without. Nice! Not for them though.
Tomorrow night is a fun catch up with some of the old pan crew. We are going to Wayne’s place. I may take the Wii and have a Wii Sport’s night too. Not sure how his neighbors below him will feel about bodies dancing around on the floor above them playing golf, baseball, tennis, and my favorite…BOXING! I may get blown off the face of the map and not even make it.
The power has been out now for 30 minutes. Thank heaven the generator is genning. Where the hell did those four days of great weather go?
