Literally. I feel as if my stomach is hanging out – in other words I’m too damn fat! I was just starting to kick back into a great eating routine and exercise standard when I made the trip north to the family reunion. I’ve managed to find another four pounds (I’d lost 15 since the first part of May), not to worry, it found my middle. I swear!! Yes I do, but in particular about this damn fat that seems to have chunked itself in a particular spot. Kee-rist, sometimes I wish I had a bottle of wine hanging around the house again.
If I had the wine, I’d be toasting to the fact that the government wants our opinion. On what? The UIGEA. Don’t forget to go give them yours. The address is at the bottom of this article – after you wade through the government jargon. Not that it means squat because of all of the mumbo jumbo that has to go into everything the government does, but the point is, if you have the opportunity to speak up and don’t, then you just harmed yourself and your rights. so maybe…just maybe…somewhere down the line, the good ol’ gov’ will get in gear and gives us back our means of easy access to fund a poker account and withdrawals.
I did visit Bellagio on Sunday night. It was pretty damn busy. All I’ve heard around town is that it is slow and my reply is, “But it’s that time of year.” Everything quiets down now and soon it will all be jamming again. But there are seasons in poker just as there are seasons in everything. It’s amazing how many dealers I worked with didn’t know I left. They thought I was on vacation or something. And what really amazes me the most is that when I say, “I quit.” They either ask, “Why?” or “What’s wrong?” Ok…let’s think about this, kids.
Bellagio is still a great poker room…and I’m glad I’m NOT there spinning out the tickets.
There’s one satellite left at Duplicate Poker for the PokerNews Cup. And there’s only one left on Full Tilt. Get with it!
