traffic from hell

I headed up n., to the old house at 4 pm. It took over an hour to go 15 miles. At 9 pm I started for home. Stuk. I’ve gone less than half
Mile in half hour. I might not ever get home.

That was posted from the iPhone as I sat in the Steed, wondering if I would ever be anywhere besides stuk in traffic. I made it home – it only too one hour and 45 minutes to travel 15 miles. A covered wagon would have worked almost as well.

We eventually funnelled down to one lane, all the exits were closed, and when we hit Decatur, we had a choice of going South or North. I went with North, thinking we were funnelling back to something that resembled freeway. We did NOT! And amazingly, there were no ‘detour’ signs or a means to get back to the freeway. I’m still shaking my head over the fact that traffic coming thru Veas is just supposed to know how to nagivate. The whole freeway was closed for about five miles – completing a leg of construction I suppose. I was damn glad to be home.

It’s a perfect nite so I settled in and went for a walk around the RV park. Now it’s time jump into my favorite chair, The Human Touch massage chair. If you ain’t got one, you should have. You can try them out at Sharper Image and probably a few other select stores in the US. If for nothing else, the foot massage is incredibly delightful. See ya, I’ll be chillin’ in my chair.

  1. There was something on the news about a police chase in the area, that ended on LV BLVD. They mentioned that roads and exits were closed so the chase would hopefully not end up near Major foot traffic on the strip.
