I started searching through emails and blog posts and, and, and, looking for follow-up info on my continuation of The View from the Box with Andy Beal as the spotlight. I got stuck reading old posts and just shaking my head at the insanity and noise and confusion that abounds in a high limit poker room almost 24/7, only dropping off a bit on graveyard unless there’s a major tournament going on.
Two of the players that I ran into more than once in my search — although they had nothing to do with the reports in this series but were in posts that involved certain named players — were Sam Grizzle and Curtis Bibb.
Curtis really was a ‘good-ol’boy’ when he first hit the Mirage back in the day. Then he became this twisted hater that I couldn’t stomach. Grizzle? He was always an ass and had no mercy for anyone, including fellow players, but particularly poker room staff. I have to admit the last few years I dealt to him left me LMAO at his antics and what came out of his mouth. All of that noise will eventually hit ‘The View from the Box’ but right now I want to move forward with my series on Beal vs. the Corporation. It’s coming. I may get all the frayed ends and split hairs put together sometime this evening and post. If not, it will be by the weekend.
The weather’s great here in the desert. My rig is still stuck in Las Vegas — I’m beyond irritated. The good news is that three yellow LadyBanks roses I ordered came in the mail today. Tomorrow is planting day. Right now they are grabbing a little sun on the deck in the back of the house.
And right now I’m outta here because I’m W-O-R-K-I-N-G on PokerWorks content. Another Inside Shuffle is going up by tomorrow at the latest…it was time to get in gear and kick it into readability again.
