It’s about time

that I put my tush in the driver’s seat at Tango and started spinning out a bit of noise.  There’s a wicked rumor out that my Jeep may be fixed sometime this week. It’s about 6 weeks now and I’m on the verge of LOSING IT!

I’ve kept talking ‘calm’ – ‘relaxed’ – ‘no stress’ but truthfully I’m starting to feel anything but those three.  Dan has been in Vegas for the last two weeks, set to help with the rebuild, and just yesterday I got a report from him that the engine was back in and they would start hooking everything up today.  I’m trying not to put too much into that because the actual mechanic friend is a very stressed out guy with a lot on his plate.  I know Dan can’t do it alone so he’s the puppet waiting for the puppeteer. Crossing my fingers…hoping the strings start to jump.

Yes, it’s way past time for another ‘view from the box’ which means I need to start digging through emails and folders to put together the next session of the series on Andy Beal vs. the Corporation.  That’s the part I hate…the digging…compiling…figuring out time frames, etc. But it’s time.

I have to toss in a big “YIPPEE” that Full Tilt Poker players in the U.S. are finally getting their funds back. I have to growl out a big “BOO HISS” that the feds have bumblefucked every one around that had money coming from their accounts.  Plus the expense of hiring Garden City Group and a few other things, what did the feds really accomplish here?  Obviously they taught us all a lesson, and it always comes back to our freedom and the drain on our pockets.

I went searching old photos and found this one from a hike back in 2006 in Anniversary Narrows.  It’s my desktop photo right now and I LOVE IT!  It had to be the perfect time of year and the plant had the perfect location and drainage — and moisture — to be this perfect! But image manager on my blog isn’t allowing me to post, so follow this link to see this desert beauty on my Facebook page.  And here’s one of the Spring Mountain range off to the east after we had a heavy rain the day before. Note the cloud layer and mountain/valley below.

Other than a wind screamer now and then, our weather has been great.  Leafbuds are showing on some of my trees and I’m getting that ‘spring anticipation’ feeling when I think about the 100 plus holes I’ve dug on the property that are filled with plants/trees/bushes.  I love spring!

Nevada and Delaware are now ‘interstate hitched’ for an online poker plan.  I like it a lot.  I’m hoping New Jersey gets in on the action – although their goal was to be a controlling factor in licensing and regulating so that states would have to look to them for entering the market — and help build the online poker base in the U.S. I do like the fact that New Jersey will try to open their doors to online poker and gambling around the world.  We want PokerStars as one of our choices for hells sake.  The 8th Anniversary of the Sunday Million would’ve found me camped in satellite city or just buying in if I could play there.  There’s no better shot to become a millionaire than at PokerStars — while playing in your pjs and sucking down your own home coffee…I like mine better than any I’ve ever tasted.

And on that thought, partypoker has a pretty big tourney running in New Jersey every Sunday.  I’d like to play at partypoker again, they have all kinds of great promos running all the time, especially if you’re PokerWorks’ referred.  Yah…a shameless plug…get on it!  PokerFest is on at partypoker right now.

I am playing now and then at WSOP.com – it’s been a struggle as of late because the typical big hands, like kk and aa are biting the dust.  One that I really hated going bust on was A2 diamonds.  I raised it preflop one off the button, and the flop was 3-4-5 with two diamonds.  Got a caller when I bet pot on the flop.  He had 6-9.  Not to worry, I made a pair of deuces on the turn and no diamond rolled off to save me.  OUT! I could’ve rebought but I’m sticking with a plan.

One of the funniest glitches I’ve found so far — and I report all that I can — was getting moved into a new table, right behind the button and the player on my right came with me to the new table, he paid the SB and I paid the BB.  Yes, behind the button.  And there was no other small or big blind in the hand.  Kee-rist!  I had to go back and look at the hand again because I was trying to figure out how I could’ve put $60 in the pot with that hand on a call.  WHEEE!

No fun on my menu in the next few days, I have a tax appointment in Vegas next week and have to start compiling all those nitty little receipts and tax deductible noises that I’ve stashed in a big manilla envelope this last year.  Wish me luck!  I hate this shit.

  1. Hi Linda
When you tell their not so wonderful support, they ask you to take a screen shot, like all you have to do is take it for them, who likes to play poker and need to keep a pen handy so they can sort out their tech problems.

    1. Hi Sandi, I’ve ran into a couple of glitches that I’ve reported and had written down the table #, hand #, tournament ID, etc. One of them I got an idiotic reply back from someone that must’ve been reading through a FAQ file and did a multiple choice random pick for an answer. He explained it all out as that I had been moved but they didn’t want me to have to take the blind again at the new table. Right, dipshit!

Since I was seated between the button and the SB when the first hand at the new table was dealt, I was correctly dealt out. My complaint was when the button passed, I was dealt out again. When I sent in my response to his response, I got another person that said they were sorry for the first reply and they would forward my glitch report to the proper department.

The only thing we can do is keep reporting and hope the issues all get ironed out.

Hope you’re well and things are good, my friend.
