Unparalleled brain glitches tonight.  Too many diet root beers I suppose.  I haven’t been here in days – and then the day I decided to return, something was askew with the server and I couldn’t get in. I’m not sure I can continue to blame everything on Murphy’s Law but there seems to be an uncanny connection with the way things work out.

On the life side of yesterday, I met the man who will punch 4 holes in my abdomen on next Wednesday and remove my gall bladder.  Along with that, he’s going to do an upper GI and scope my stomach.  I’m pleased.  I expect to be back home by 3 p.m. at the latest and start getting ready for desert walks within a few days after that.  I’m told that exercise isn’t as a big of an issue with the laparoscopic surgery as it was with two other abdominal surgeries I’ve had.  The small holes (according to my dr.) may become sore from exercise but I won’t have to be concerned with an incision ripping or tearing something internally.  This is great news for me.  I don’t need a six-week layoff from exercise while I take it easy on core muscles.

Then I also will get a chance to see if the gallbladder has been a large part of the ‘feel like shit’ blues I’ve had off and on for the last few years.  Time will iron out all the wrinkles and I’ll be back in the pink…that’s how I see it!

Right now I’m on hold with the IRS.  What a PITA!!! I haven’t figured out how my failure to pay penalty and interest continues to increase with each monthly payment I make to them to correct issues with not filing.  I keep hearing, “Our representatives are currently helping other customers, please continue to hold.”  Is that what we are, customers?  I don’t think so, because customers at least receive some courtesy.  The IRS doesn’t care if you’re happy or not because you have to deal with them sooner or later.  I admit to being a bit irritated right now.

BTW…it only took one hour and six minutes to complete a five minute conversation…and the music they play sux big time when you’re on hold.

It was explained to me that each payment I make goes against the tax I owe, the failure to pay penalties and interest continue to accrue with their own separate balances and when I pay off the tax I owe, I can go beg ask them to give me a break on the accrued balances. Why don’t they just chop them off right now and give me a clear run at paying off the balance? Go figure!

I’m so baffled by Daniel Negreanu’s relentless pursuit of salving his ego in the ‘1st card off the deck’ rule.  Go take a reading on “Five Thoughts” to really appreciate the insanity of his reasoning that he found a way to get around the rule of being next to his chair. It can’t be the first rule that some of the pros disagreed with for hells sake, so what is the problem? Stop flitting and gabbing when you’re in a tournament, do your best comedy and self promotion in the game you’re in, not to the rail!

This kid started somewhere by the fence on my sister’s side; sis appeared through the gate with her camera, “There’s a big snake in your yard!”

That he was.  He was on the move, crossing my property and headed for the mesquite grove that borders me on the west.  He had to be about 4 feet long — I kept walking to snap pictures as he kept crawling.  My boy put Scout in the house immediately because…who knows?  It was a gopher/bull snake, non-poisonous.

I hope to never see a rattler or have Scout anywhere around one, she’s been vaccinated against snake bites but I still don’t want to go through it.  Sidewinders would be the most common where we live.

On that note, I’m out for the night.  I hope to become a better poster, I lose the flow of my insanity when I wait too long to post.  Laters.
