The weather is having a very difficult time deciding if any of the landscape will be left in southern Nevada or if the cloud cover will actually produce rain as the lightning whips across the sky followed by appropriate bouts of thunder.
My war dog is sufficiently drugged. I know this because she’s lying quietly. I have vet prescribed something-or-others for her and normally only give her one per bad weather day but the directions call for 2-3. She’s had such a bad time getting her ears unstuck from her head and trying to keep her rolling eyeballs in her head, that she got one tablet yesterday and a follow-up about an hour later…same scenario today. The weather may still make her crazy but she doesn’t look like she’s a prime candidate for a heart attack.
We got one small dose of rain today and plenty of Mother Nature’s bluffing at various times yesterday where 10 drops would fall from a screaming blast of wind and then only the wind continued. The downside is I would like the rain, and I don’t care for the humidity. The upside is the cloud cover has cooled it off quite a bit during the day.
I managed to survive not feeling too damn hot which was mentioned in my last post and started to climb out of the health slump – only to find I’m completely exhausted. I’m a nap taker and today was exceptionally hard to get through with only taking two short ones. And I’m depressed. I know…I know…quit whining Linda! Depression lives in my back pocket sometimes and sneaks out to try and ruin a day here and there but by tomorrow I should be right up to par with nap taking and life and have a couple of projects in the works that will wash the blues away.
Check out this late night moon. The first one was taken without flash, the 2nd one with.
If you haven’t read PokerWorks’ Inside Shuffle, please do. There’s an in depth about the Venetian Poker Room boycott that is hopefully going on now…it started yesterday. I haven’t read any reports out but I do hope the room is very, very quiet. Take that Adelson, you online poker grinch.
Daniel Negreanu has his WSOP wrap rant, thing-a-ma-jig up. I thought it was interesting that he would include his WSOP stats, but I didn’t think it was interesting that he wanted to rag about the rule changes in the TDA and the way that he referenced how wrong the rule was pertained to the fact that he’s a ‘super star’ and always in high demand for autographs and pictures. Yes, he is a star. No, the majority of the rest of the poker playing population doesn’t have to deal with that. But once you know the rule and you know you’re a star, deal with it!
Time to take my war dog out for that one last walk around the yard. G’nite.
