Sh-h-h-h-h-h…

Don’t breathe…make sure you don’t exhale unless you slowly let the air escape across wet lips. OMG! And whatever you do, don’t inhale sharply! Really, the dust is so thick in here that any air movement will have us all choking to death.

I hate it when it’s like that. Can’t tell you why I can’t get here because I really don’t know. I just run out of whatever it takes and figure I’ll come back tomorrow but it doesn’t happen.

I feel like I’m perpetually busy, but am I really? I wonder if we find ways to trick ourselves into believing something to relieve the feeling of guilt.

I got the movie ‘All-In – The Poker Movie’ and plan on watching it in the next few days. Yes, I’m writing about it is why I get to preview it. Right off hand, from watching the trailer, I’d go out on a limb here by saying that having some of the players in it that resemble some of the players from the ‘Full Tilt Saga: There is no Life After Death’ could hurt the movie. Just sayin…

There’s so much going on right now in online poker news that one can barely keep up with it. It seems that every state except Utah wants to find some way to wring more money from their citizens by offering them gambling, either in the form of brick & mortar casinos or some form of online gambling – not necessarily poker.

I am all for online poker, obviously, but it irritates me when I read something about a politician thinking to submit an online gaming bill because the state needs revenue. Yeah, we’re just sacks of greenbacks that have cash cow written on the side and each time someone strokes our brow we shoot out another batch of 100’s for the government.

What if we wanted to play online poker because we wanted our freedom, or because we figure we can make extra money, or just because we want to? Is it only OK by the mighty powers that protect us from ourselves if they can see a profit for the government’s coffers? Calling Bullshit on it! The whole thing makes me want to ride my broom over to their office and bomb them with decks of burning Kem cards.

The Ray Bitar apology, and GBT Lawyer Behnam Dayanim being ‘reasonably optimistic’ about the Tapie/Full Tilt deal is more BULLSHIT IMHO! Go figure. After a year passes Bitar finally makes a statement? OK, I’m all choked up! I didn’t even have any money at Full Tilt Poker and I’m thoroughly irritated over the black mark this whole thing has made on poker, not to mention the people it put out of work, and robbed them of their hard earned, grinded out money.

So one of us needs to leave before we get out of control and start kicking up the dust in here. That would be me! I’ll be back with a leaf blower to clean this place out soon.

  1. I remember FT for gross mismanagement; UB/AB for ablsolute theft; Several AUS managed sites for theft by jinking their software; Planet Poker for weak software; an early (2002 or 03)room that financed an owner/players career; and on and on.

I’m not sure angle shooters and the worst of the stuff that floats will ever avoid the game, the sites, because it is easy money if you want it that way. Few marks look anywhere other than at the cards.

Still, I can understand where you’re coming from. But it’ll never be a ‘clean’ endeavor, will it?

  2. I need to remember they have wives and family that hopefully love them. As for individuals at FT, I think it goes something like… They could perform a sex function on a nocturnal emission.

  3. Ken, I can’t even imagine these guys going out anywhere in public without fear of bodily harm. I watched the bust out of Phil Ivey at the LA Poker Classic tourney on YouTube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G3-uw6eCRE0&feature=player_embedded – read somewhere that his two bodyguards were waiting when he left…I didn’t pick up on the bodyguards and haven’t gone back to watch it since. I do wonder if Ivey feels that his lawsuit and statement and boycotting the WSOP makes him immune to everyone’s wrath. The whole FTP thing is one of the sickest jokes in history IMHO.
