So…I lived through the visit to the dentist

Let me tell ya though, there’s some major misery there.  I ended up with 8 temporary crowns.  Nothing at the dentist office – that they put in your mouth anyway – tastes good.  It goes from horrible to totally fucking wretched in a heartbeat.  How about that string that they stuff up under your gum to shrink the gum for the molds and the temps?  Woooo-wie!  That be some bad tasting shit I can tell you.  And it all sticks to the back of your tongue and you can’t get it to leave.

I had two old crowns that had metal chewing surfaces on them – put on by a dentist in Mississippi in 1993.  He said I ground my teeth and if he didn’t put a metal base on them, I’d crack the crowns.  Well…OK! It took forever to grind the metal off for the new crowns, the metal was unreal – lots of it – even though the outside of the tooth had a porcelain cover on it.  Four temp crowns on one set of molars – all one piece – and that makes me crazy, it keeps feeling like there’s some food stuff stuck in between my teeth. Back to Vegas tomorrow to have the right side ground down a bit, too high, and it’s irritating.  But that will mean lunch with my son and that’s a good thing.  It will be about 15 days before I get the permanent crowns on.  I could buy a house in a lot of places in this country for what I’ve put into my mouth the last 3 years or so in dental work…maybe two houses.

The overall internet poker situation just gets stickier and sto-0-o-opider, don’t it?  The latest gets on my nerves even more because I would guess that some of the US players have tried to make a go of it playing online at Bookmaker, TruePoker, DoylesRoom, and others. And what about Doyle, did he escape at the right time or what?

The PPA hit Washington D.C. today, it’s hard to tell if anything was accomplished at this point in time.  I still feel that Obama should come out of hiding and have to put his face in front of us and explain why exactly, we can’t play internet poker in our own homes in the land of the free.  I feel like he’s just letting us down.  Our country could use the money from taxation, regulation, licensing, and we want to play poker so what is the frigging road block?  I’ve heard all kinds of things from all kinds of people about big business controlling everything and casinos trying to keep online poker out and casinos trying to hook up with online poker sites to fly me to the moon you diptard and some of it makes sense, but some of it doesn’t.  Come on Obama!!!  Get in our face and explain it!

I’m outa here for the night.
