The WSOP and Vegas on the horizon

Tomorrow it’s up and on the road.  The Rio is going to be one of my stops as I check in for my media pass, but it’s not my primary reason for going to Vegas.  I’m checking into a hotel tomorrow night so I can make the 7 a.m. chair at the dentist’s office on Wednesday.  If all goes well, I should be back at my hotel by 3 or 4 p.m.  Maybe even sooner.

Today my computer decided to give me a twitchy little shit fit.  I spent more than a few hours trying to sweet talk it into behaving, doing a system restore and then a disk check, which took forever, but it appears to have worked.  It’s behaving nicely and I’m behind on everything I had planned to have knocked out for the evening so I could pack my bag and try to head for Sandwoman Land at a decent hour.  It ain’t gonna happen.

Witches Brew has a post up that’s definitely worth reading.

Just in case you aren’t a member of the Poker Player’s Alliance, now is the time to become a premium member, for more reasons than one.  You know the score on the UIGEA, get in there and help fight it.  That’s one reason, the other is a drawing for the WSOP main event.  Don’t be shy, get your feet wet.

I may have some pictures to post on my next visit here.  No…they won’t be of me with 6 glaring stubs of teeth in the top front waiting for crowns. More like the Rio as it heats up for the big poker junkie’s dream festival.

See ya!
