Since my last score in the micro limit, I’ve scored a few more but still just out of the good $, but now I have a new thought on all of it.  It’s not a dark, down in the dumps thought about it, just a thought that I want to fiddle with as I play the game.

I had to chuckle over this hand:

In the following tournament (a re-buy), I went all-in with K-K.  In the same hand with me was A-A and J-J.  The jacks won the hand, four spades came on the board.  I did the re-buy thang.  This hand wasn’t any fun, but to my credit, I didn’t curse or storm.

That last card was painful…damn Queen…Card Fairy is a queen, right?

I managed to kick along for quite awhile and when my chip stack was seriously in jeopardy and the cards had been totally hideous for quite some time, I chunked  35,205 all-in with j-9 off.  The antes were 750, the blinds were 3,000-6,000.  I was begging everyone to fold.  lawrie_bcfc had 142,006 in chips and was the 6K blind.  He called with K-J.  UGH!  I did the major suck out and caught a 9 on the river.

It was pure pitching hell.  When I was up to my nose in quicksand and no cards and no chips, I picked up A-K, went all-in and won the pot.  Oh yeah, I had made the $ by now too. The next hand was Q-Q, all-in and won the pot.  I really thought the tide had turned.  My next hand was A-K.  I had 114K in chips and wasn’t even going to slow down.  The antes were 875, blinds were 3,500-7,000 and I was the BB.  One player raised it to 21,000, another called and I went all-in.  Everyone had me covered and my raise got raised and called all-in.  The original raiser had Q-Q and it held for a very nice pot.

I took 78th place out of 2169 players for $114.82 and also had taken the add-on, a profit of $83.82.  Final table in this baby would have brought a gigantic smile to my face…

I’m scurrying to put all of my tax records together so I can meet the wizardette that will take care of things for me on Monday.

On the PokerWorks H.O.R.S.E. tourney – that will be held on the 8th of March, I do hope everyone will show because I won’t.  This will be the first time I’ve missed it since we started.  It’s my baby boy’s birthday and I’ll be heading into Vegas for a family dinner.
