kinda…sorta. I’m heading into Las Vegas today, after an ultra sound and blood drawing for a test that can only be detected by a blood test. Sounds kinda weird right? Right! I’m all for preventative maintenance and it’s just routine-schmoutine stuff.
I’ve been a busy little beaverette and have a zillion and more things going on.
Home Depot was supposed to deliver a truck load of concrete block, rebar, etc., yesterday. As all things go, they fucked up. The order was stuck in a stack in the back and is now set for Friday. Woo hoo!
Sis and I are having the rest of our front driveway, and a goodly section of the back, filled with gravel for increasing the size of the drive through for the RV and we are going to have a place for Monte to park a shop trailer in the very back by the pump…plus plan on building a carport area back there to keep our vehicles out of the sun. Those loads of gravel are being hauled in now as I write. That project should be finished on Monday.
The wall project will be done in phases. After the block and rebar hit (the trench has been dug for foundation), then the foundation will be poured and we go from there. That I really can hardly wait to have finished but at least with the start of it, I have a shot at it happening and relief from the group next door. Tenmile, it isn’t the dust. One of the funniest parts of the whole thing is they have two dogs. One is a pitbull, he barks and comes to the wire fence that separates our yards, and then waits to be petted. The other is a chihuahua. That little shit can scoot right through the fence mesh and thinks nothing of following me, Monte, or Vickie around OUR yard and barking at us. It’s retarded, their dog comes on our property to have a fit. I totally understand the meaning of ‘wok the dog’ and think it’s perfectly justified in some cases. The neighbors barking dogs don’t bother them at all or they are deaf…they just bother everyone else.
As far as the Wizard goes, that would be my buddette Marie. She’s having a little card party this afternoon and I’m going. She’s like a wizard in a lot of ways because talking to her about the insanities of children and grandchildren makes me feel better. It’s great to have a sane thought thread from someone that’s gone through the same things and knows what/how it feels.
Time for the shower and the road.
BTW diesel was 1.99 a gallon out here in good old Pahrump yesterday.
