Let us Play!!!

Yes, there is a PokerWorks HORSE tourney on Sunday the 22nd.  Yes, I will be there!  I registered yesterday.  Any others?  I miss one Sunday and the whole thing goes to hell.   I thank you Andrew for showing and registering in my absence…see you there tomorrow.  BTW, I just checked and I’m still the only degenerate registered there – Tournament #143831886, password:  donkeys.

I have played and placed in 2 of three tourneys on PokerStars since yesterday.  The third one was a bust and it was earlier today.  I tried to beat 6-4C with K-K (don’t try that at home kids) and he caught runner-runner to make a straight…I had him covered, then I went for the gusto with Q-Q against A-J and A-9 off.  Jack on the flop and the cheesy piece of shit Ace on the turn took care of my bacon.  I didn’t rebuy.  That was a $3.30 rebuy with the gigantic guarantee.  The ones I placed in paid the freight but as usual, it wasn’t enough to warrant a jump for joy finish.

Thursday found me hitting the road for Las Vegas after I had a coupla medical tests out here in Pahrump.  I visited the Meadows Mall for about a half hour, did the stroll through thing, because Marie wouldn’t answer her damn phone when I hit town.  I go to a mall about once every three years.  Not your average female shopper I guess.  I finally got Marie on the phone and headed for her place and got stuck in the construction/late afternoon traffic.  I forgot how horrible it is.  And how fast these people drive as they speed towards a traffic jam that isn’t moving.  No wonder Nevada insurance rates are some of the highest in the nation.

Marie and I visited for close to an hour before people started to show for the card party.  Those people are mostly the old pan crew.  Mike, Gary’s son, brought a friend of his named Anna.  She dealt to us and is in the process of learning how to become a real dealer.  She did a damn fine job.  The crazy part of it was that we were playing for quarters and I won $20.  Unreal!!!  I actually made hands – some of them pure garbage junkers out of the blind that turned into winning hands.  Nothing like taking true advantage of your friends.

I did take some pictures but I wasn’t in true picture form and my lazy butt mood still is running pretty strong, so I’m not putting them up. Maybe I’ll just throw one in now and then down the road and refer back to this post.

I’m outa here!  Sign up for the PokerWorks H.O.R.S.E.

  1. Linda, I thought our heads-up battle in the HORSE tourney last night was one of the better matches that I have had in quite a while. You were on your game, and the cards fell my way a couple of times to make the difference. It was a fun game overall and I’m glad I made it.

See you in another one soon!
