The end result of HORSE tourney

Amazingly, although I continually tout JBHarshaw as a super user, he didn’t – DIDN’T – finish in the money in our last tourney.  That’s pretty bizzaro.  JB is a very good poker player, having been a grinder for some years in Las Vegas, he definitely knows the ups-downs-innards-outards of poker, and has placed in the $ every PokerWorks’s H.O.R.S.E.  tourney that he has played in, except this one.  All I can say is, “GG JB” as he also has a great attitude and writes some good mental fodder on the art of poker here at PokerWorks.  Just type ‘jbharshaw’ in the PokerWorks search and you’ll find a plethora of great reading filled with helpful knowledge on how to approach the game.

We had 11 players again.  Very nice!  djhomeschool is a huge promoter for our game and brings friends.  That’s pretty sweet in itself.  He’s promised a new podcast, I’m going there now to see if he’s telling the truth or bluffing.  OMG!  He wasn’t bluffing!   I’m listening to their insane rant as I write this.  They are talking ‘cherry crunch’ – disgusting.

Before the PokerWork’s H.O.R.S.E. tourney – earlier in the day – ThunderBob, clearspine, and I were all in the $200K guarantee on PokerStars.  Wish we’d have had a last longer bet as I could have gotten a few pennies back for my buy-in.  I got a ping from ThunderBob and went to watch his game.  Just as I typed in ‘Good Luck ThunderBob’, he went bust with a set of kings.  My chat hit as he busted out, shit!!!!  He didn’t mind though.  He was elated as he had won a seat in a Latin American Poker Tour and qualified for the Sunday Million three times.  Good JOB!  I watched clearspine’s table and as he busted the table broke.  I can’t even remember what I went bust on, I made it past first break is all.

Back to the H.O.R.S.E. tourney…this is how it came down:

1: GoIrish89 (Denver), $27.50 (50%)
2: Greg P (Las Vegas), $16.50 (30%)
3: grupper (((*))), $11.00 (20%)
4: clearspine (Boulder),
5: djhomeschool (Denton TX foo!),
6: jbharshaw (FPO),
7: ABVidale (Irvine),
8: PokerWorks (Las Vegas),
9: ThunderBob (Harrisonburg),
10: Alexe55 (Marina Del Rey),
11: msacesup (Nashville),

When I visited ABVidale’s blog, I went into brain flash mode as soon as I saw Scott Harker’s name referenced on the blog.  Scottro and I used to be in close contact and exchange emails and thoughts, life moves us along other paths and we’ve not been in touch for quite some time.  He prodded me continuously to ‘write that book’, he’s already written one with ABVidale.  Kee-rist!  I’m never on time with anything it seems.  Yes, I plan on being late for my own funeral.

msacesup is a writer for PokerWork’s also, as is ThunderBob, clearspine, and jbharshaw, it’s fun to have the group get involved in a fun game of chatting and poker idiocy, and great to meet everyone that’s new that comes in and the regulars that return every two weeks. PokerHack stopped in to say hello – she’s just went through one of the saddest stages of life possible.  We all wish her well.  Greg P is my long time friend and one of the stars of this show.

*On the podcast – I’m down to the ‘handwriting analysis’ portion.  Bunkmeister?  You guys really are disjointed.*

See you next week for the next HORSE tourney, mark the calendar, bring yourself and all your friends.  Good showing, Grupper!!!
