like I’ve never won one but they are still fun. The HORSE Tourney ended up with nine of us showing and surprise, surprise, surprise, Alcanthang was one of the contestants. Super Nice! We had the regulars, JB, PokerHack, Me, Grupper, and Cat came back, as did the crazy kid with the podcast – Mr. djhomeschool himself, and Alexe55 – tea drinker extraordinaire, and Katie.
Four of the PokerWorks team made it to the tournament. YIP-YIP-YIPPEE! I also tried to beg Tony G. into showing as we were in an online chat a few hours before but he had just finished 7 days of poker at the Party Poker Premier League and was toast.
We started with two tables, this may be the 3rd time that has happened since we began the bi-weekly HORSE tourney. Nice! Except it’s more difficult to keep up with the chatter boxing and hand play because I’m nosy and like to see the other game too. And chat. Now if we end up with 3 or more tables, I’ll be hard pressed to know what’s going on with any of them except my own. Of course I’m dreaming of more tables.
I didn’t request the chat this time or the hand histories so the order of the play/bust-outs went as follows:
1: AlCantHang (Phoenixville), $22.50 (50%)
2: jbharshaw (FPO), $13.50 (30%)
3: KatePkrPro (Huntington Beach), $9.00 (20%)
4: Alexe55 (Marina Del Rey),
5: grupper (((*))),
6: PokerWorks (Las Vegas),
7: PokerHack07 (Alturas),
8: CatScan67 (Denver),
9: djhomeschool (Denton TX foo!),
I do know that djhomeschool was busted out by JB and typed that he hated JB in the chat. I agreed, I did too…just kidding JB. JB has had a very strong showing in placing in the $$ in our tournies, and Katie has played in two of them and placed in both…good showing woman! Al, obviously played in one and took first, great job Al and thanks for coming. He busted me although I admit I was trying to get into his chip stack too. I am typically, the proven donkey, as I’ve placed in one of them, a hefty 3rd place for all of my efforts and Grupper was in ‘sit out’ mode and blinding off and he almost beat me for 3rd. KEE-RIST!
JB and Al went back and forth heads-up for quite awhile. I like to stay to the end of these tourneys and join in the chatter boxing part.
Cat had promised to send me a PokerTart Hoodie and it showed in the mail yesterday. What a great gift. And she sent me a fantastic PokerTart Chip and a thank you card that’s personalized with PokerTart on it. This woman knows all the right touches and is true to her word. I love the hoodie, I don’t love my pudgy, mid-life belly bulge…ah-h-h-h…more incentive to work out and remove it. Thank you so much CAT!
And then I found out that she plays in my friend’s home game, Mark Hope from Colorado. Mark and I go back a million life times ago when poker was really ram and jam fun and I was blogging my ass off about the nights of dying in the dealer’s chair. Poker is such a small world for being so universally huge. P-s-s-s-st! I do have to tell ya Mark, posting the last time in your blog, a year and a half ago, is a bunch of bullshit!
I’m off to some kind of races, like life racing against the time clock and trivial pursuit of figuring out how to trap myself in a time warp so I can watch it all speed by and not be able to do anything about it. See you there!
