PokerWorks H.O.R.S.E.

A little HORSE is good for the soul.  Apparently none of the players that showed had read the article the PokerWorks Staff put up – if so they failed to mention it in the chat so their names could be removed from the ‘hex’ list.  Go read the article if you want to know.

There were seven of us:

Seat 2: PokerHack07 (1500 in chips)
Seat 3: CatScan67 (1500 in chips)
Seat 4: PokerWorks (1500 in chips)
Seat 5: Kendren (1500 in chips)
Seat 6: jbharshaw (1500 in chips)
Seat 7: ProcraZty (1500 in chips)
Seat 8: grupper (1500 in chips)

This is all a mish mash out of order tournament report.

jb took out Grupper on hand #55 in 7 Card Stud – yes, Grupper stayed and played it out this time.  WOO HOO!

I took out Kendren on Hand #58 in 7 stud hi/lo

ProcraZty left us on hand #63 in 7 Stud hi/lo – CatScan got him.  And he had this to say about it!

> ProcraZty said, “donkklasdflas”
> ProcraZty said, “lolloololollololol”
> ProcraZty said, “I mean nh”
> CatScan67 said, “i told you i was the fish”

PokerHack started slow and finished strong.  She took me out on the Bubble at hand #70 in Hold’em, and JB out in third on Hand #98 in Omaha Hi/Lo, and then wiped out CatScan67 on hand #103.

The conversation/chat went to Tiffany Michelle – as it did on the last tourney too – and the consensus is that Tiffany put herself in a bad spot with the way she handled everything.  No kidding!

A few of us were declaring our player status.

> CatScan67 said, “flag me as the fish then, i’m not even sure i remember how to play stud”
> jbharshaw said, “I’m just a SAP.”
> PokerWorks said, “OK, I’ll be the donk, you be the fish”
> jbharshaw said, “Skilled Amatuer Player.”
> PokerHack07 said, “well I am the fish in Omaha and razz”
> Kendren said, “I’m just here to fold”
> PokerWorks said, “that’s usually what I do until my donkey ears take off”
> PokerHack07 said, “is that one long ear there in your pic Linda lol??”

Kendren was funny:

> Kendren said, “glad to see my master folding plan coming to fruition”
> Kendren said, “I need to make my avatar a piece of origami”
> Kendren said, “folding alot”

Grupper stayed and played and joined in our looney chat this time – he obviously has a goat as his avatar!

> PokerWorks said, “grupper, speak to us.  how are you?”
> grupper said, “you guys talk about donkeys, I’m a goat. Most handsome goat also.”
> PokerHack07 said, “rofl”
> PokerWorks said, “I’ve noticed.”
> PokerWorks said, “great eyes too”
> PokerHack07 said, “yes as goats go ur a good looking one”

Charlie came to visit us as a railbird – very nice that he stopped by – and he offered to deal to us too.

> cmacc85 [observer] said, “Yes, How is everyone?”
> PokerWorks said, “great, Charlie, thanks for stopping, how are you?”
> cmacc85 [observer] said, “I’m fine, I was over playing the cash games and just remembered, but it’s too late. :-(”
> PokerWorks said, “Charlie, think I have your email address from your comment, I’ll send you an email next time and remind you”
> cmacc85 [observer] said, “I got and email, and still forgot. Old age sucks. lol”
> cmacc85 [observer] said, “I’ll just rail ya’ll for a while”
> PokerWorks said, “Good idea.  When I bust out, that’s what I do”
> cmacc85 [observer] said, “want me to deal? lol”
> PokerWorks said, “yah, tips are slim tho”
> PokerHack07 said, “and the pay sux”

Grupper threatened to leave us too early and Charlie said:

> cmacc85 [observer] said, “Hang around until I finish my down. :-)”

When I bubbled out of the tourney Charlie did the square needle thing:

> cmacc85 [observer] said, “bubble girl. :-(”
> PokerWorks [observer] said, “yes…big bubbles, no troubles.”
> CatScan67 said, “i have a shirt that says that”
> PokerWorks [observer] said, “not the same bubbles I was referring to I’m sure”
> CatScan67 said, “no my shirt says “bubble girl” and it totally refers to poker!”

But that’s how I found out that CatScan has a website – go visit people!  Buy something.

> CatScan67 said, “it just occurred to me I should send you one of my pokertart shirts!”
> PokerWorks [observer] said, “yes, you should.”
> PokerWorks [observer] said, “do you have a website?”
> CatScan67 said, “www.pokertart.com
> cmacc85 [observer] said, “Pokertart? lol I like that.”
> CatScan67 said, “send me an email with your address and I’ll ship you one”
> PokerWorks [observer] said, “seems I’ve been there, will have to go check it out.”
> PokerWorks [observer] said, “Is that you modeling the hoodies?”
> CatScan67 said, “i’m on the about page”
> CatScan67 said, “a lovely sweet girl who happens to photograph beautifully!”
> PokerWorks [observer] said, “that’s fantastic, nice to meet you”
> CatScan67 said, “I have a couple of new designs later this month that are more subtle”
> CatScan67 said, “not everyone wants the words Poker Tart emblazoned on their chest”

This tournament is a ton of fun.  It’s cheap entertainment and great poker experience in learning how to play more games.  We want you!  Come and join us and enjoy your game play.  And thanks for all the loyal players that show up all the time and to the new people that drop in, you are appreciated.  And Clearspine, you are missed.  *sniff*

  1. Thanks for the shoutout. I think I will be able to make the next one. As I mentioned in the forum, single-parenting the three kids meant basically giving up on anything I would normally do by or for myself. We had a great time, but I didn’t think they would appreciate railbirding the tourney.
