the whole PokerWorks’ look and informational access is taking on a completely new, and hopefully easier to navigate design. And it’s obviously going to cause some confusion – there will be approximately 20K broken links – yah, they are being worked on now – nah, not by me. That means blog links and other things may not show as they should for a bit. And that means the address for Table Tango is going to change also, there should be a reloading page that will bring you here if you are following the old link – for awhile – but don’t forget to update when it happens.
The sky is filled with gloom today, tiny breaks in the clouds allow a ray of light now and then, which is very reminiscent of life to a degree. My friend and blogging mate is going through an extremely difficult time right now and she still can find a ray of light to be thankful for. My thoughts, hopes, and prayers are with her as she goes to spend time with family for Thanksgiving.
Take the time you need, folks, to spend with those you care about and never let them leave without telling them you care about them.

I ordered RV skirting, out with the tape measure and help of my son, scribbling down lengths and a variety of heights, most of it will be installed with a twist-lock system. Yah, I’ll be out there with my handy-dandy drill, putting holes in my beloved little home – at a variety of heights – and then attaching the twist-locks. Around the slides I will use the ‘velcro attach’ method as I don’t want to tear up the slide gaskets with the twist-locks.
The skirting arrived this week, it’s ready to go, I’m not. I need a straight edge to make sure my amazing lack of ability to saw or cut a straight line doesn’t create a problem. And I have to buy the screws that will hold the twist-locks. And I have to be in the mood – ready to tackle the project. I’m not right now. And in case you’re wondering, I ordered it from a very helpful gent named Lorin that walked thru the order on the phone with me and made sure I got what I wanted. You can find him at Idaho Canvas.
I need to do a before and after photo. I need drugs! Just kidding! Well…maybe not!

I’m still busted/tapped out on my PokerStars bankroll thingy. I’m too stubborn to invest any $ into it too, although I may for the PokerWorks H.O.R.S.E. tournaments since they are the best and most fun poker experience to date.
I also am a bit curious how this can possibly happen – follow closely now – Every day there is a ‘Daily Eighty Grand’ freeroll satellite, PokerStars, which affords 5 players a seat in the…obviously…the Daily Eighty Grand. The max is 10K players. When you go to the satellite tournament lobby, you have to literally start counting down to registration, since you can only preregister like 39 minutes before the start time (or somewhere close to that).
Twice I have been there, in the tournament lobby, doing the countdown thing when it’s close to 10 minutes to registration, I’m watching…watching…watching. When it hits 2 minutes to registration, I have hand on mouse, poised over where I know the registration button will pop up.
Watching…watching…watching…and before the registration button pops up, the flood of registered players begins to show, the button pops up, I click, and receive a pop-up that tells me I’ve been placed in the Que as others are registering also. NO SHIT? Then I receive another pop-up that tells me that by the time my registration request was received, the tournament was already full. All of this happens in about a nine second time frame. Let’s allow that I may have a bit of an internet lag because I’m on satellite, but really, this appears to be a ridiculous bit of bullshit to me.
Alternative? I may go play the cash I have invested at Full Tilt Poker and bag the PokerStars thing. There seems to be a target painted on my forehead there anyway. I did play the PLO tournament on Sunday that I freerolled into. NG – No good!

Thanksgiving is coming, I’m not thinking delicious bird and all the trimmings. I’m thinking I will hang out at home and probably play a little online poker. Or maybe work on the skirting. Or who the hell knows what? But I wish you all a great day, filled with the treasures of good friends and family shared not only on that day, but every day for time eternal.
Wow! The Lugens won’t have time for turkey either.
I picked up one of those breast only things. But, it is all about the dressing. Gravy…I need gravy.
You are so right, Ken, the dressing and gravy are the real deal. We did have a family cook out with turkey and all the fixin’s last week when the truck driving duo were here. It was great. Not just the food aspect but the company and the cooking. Honestly, cooking is a huge part of the mix. Sis did the whole thing and a damn fine job of it that. Hope you have a great day.
OK, now I’m feeling sorry for the two of you. I’m preparing my stuffing tonight (chestnut-pear), and my darling bride is getting her legendary double-crust apple pie ready, along with a roasted beet and goat cheese side dish. Tomorrow, I’ll roast the bird, drenched in wine and butter, and make a salad, while she does mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, homemade cranberry relish and some antipasto. Guests will bring sweet potatoes and pumpkin pie. Yes, our kitchen is actually ready to be used again, and we are going to take full advantage! I wish the two of you, as well as Glenda and Monta, JB and the rest of the gang a blessed Thanksgiving. I am very thankful for being able to meet you folks during this past year. It’s been a real treat. Hey JB, what do you eat in Japan for Thanksgiving?
