Rock Band

Rock band has been in my future for the last month or so. I put a deposit down at Game Stop – just to make sure I could feed my degenerate needs when it hit the stores. Sure, it’s been out on Xbox 360 and probably PS2 for quite some time, but I own a Wii.

It all worked out quite well, the old digs is filled with sons and grandson (plenty of players) and the size of the main living area is large enough to handle everyone while we jam. I got a call back from Suzanne and she agreed to meet me there for some tunes. Play we did. I screamed into the microphone now and then – mainly because I have no idea what tune one is supposed to be singing since I’ve never heard of some of the songs – and played the guitar. Of course I have to fight with my boy Dan to even play the guitar. Kids…they always want something…and they usually win.

A nice little twist that goes with Wii, you can play two guitars on Guitar Hero III. And we do. On Rock Band you can too but you can’t use the same guitars for Rock Band that you do for Guitar Hero…and they haven’t brought the extra guitar out on the market yet. They have you coming and going, buy more, get ready for something else that you’ll need to add.

Riot was there, entertaining Suzanne with his Hulk impersonation. We snacked, we laughed, we strummed, we sang and Dan’s boy, Ryan, did most of the drummer honors. It was a great break out of the last few weeks of life’s insanity.

Suzanne, a true pearl in a world of sticks and stones and busted Aces:

We have to have all of the kinks knocked out of Rock Band by the time Miss Kayanna arrives, her and I have a Guitar Hero III date – for about 10 days worth. And obviously Rock Band will be in the mix. Come back often Suzanne.

My sweet boy Riot came over to spend the night last night. Damn I love that kid. He’s such a little fireball of energy and definitely has a mind of his own, slightly selfish, a bit pigheaded, but every now and then he softens up and gives me a big hug and says, “I love you, Grandmom!” That’s a cure for everything that ails me.

  1. An amazing read on your part. I never assume anything about someone – or come to the conclusion of what their personality is truly like – until I’ve spent some time with them in one on one chats or circumstances where I could physically watch them approach life.

Apparently that is one of the big differences in reads we have on people. I’ve never penned an opinion of what I think you are like as a person. LMAO here…I probably never will.

Seems apples don’t fall far from the tree…

  3. I didn’t start a blog to write about other blogger’s personalities and traits.

Since we have never met, it would be impossible for me to express an opinion about you, how you perceive things, and what you are really all about. You won’t hear anything from me, about you, although I have the feeling you wish I would.

I find it mildly amusing that you continue to write comments about my behaviors and patterns when you’ve never met me, but I also find it completely unnecessary.

I believe we are a team on PokerWorks, working for a common goal, self expression entwined with the game of poker and anything beyond that pertaining to a personal level is completely unnecessary.

  4. You keep up to date on this quite regularly I have been following and agree with everything you comment on, I have linked this blog from my site now..
    Thanks.
