Countrywide and Walgreens

I believe in complaining to solve issues with companies and product problems/defects. I also believe that when a reasonable course of action has been implemented or a response given, it has to be noted. After all…life can’t be only about bitching or we’d be ugly, old shriveled prunes at the age of 30. So here it is:

The most amazing thing happened. I got another call from Countrywide. This time it was a completely different approach…one that I’m certainly not used to…about the registered letter I’d sent. I spoke with Misty and she promised to have some answers for me by Monday on having my account updated, no more phone calls, no more credit reporting agency issues, and she was going to check on paying me for the bill I submitted. Let’s see what happens with that.

I submitted a complaint on the Walgreens’ website about my last visit to the pharmacy and got a great response from Mike, the pharmacist that I was sure I had mentioned somewhere in Tango before but can’t find the post. Mike sent me an email, very much appreciated, thoughtful, and just hit the spot…no chaser needed. Thanks, Mike.

I am having a slight fit about my Dr.’s office and the fact that I left a message on Wednesday and a message on Friday, March 14, looking for the results of the blood test I had done a week ago today. I got the canned, “I’ll take a message and have the nurse call you,” on both days. On Friday when I got the repeat message, I asked what happened to my previous message that was left on Wednesday. The explanation was too long and boring to go into here. Bottom line is that I haven’t heard a word. What if I had some dreaded disease (other than insanity) and the sooner I received treatment the better? Tough beans, Kiddo!

On the upside, life isn’t all bad here in the desert. The weather’s been great…cooling off a little today and supposed to be rainy tomorrow but other than that, wonderful weather.

My bankroll is running pretty well on Chasing Chris Ferguson but I hit donkey mode a few days ago. Sure hope I can find the brakes.

  1. Wow! Never even dreamed that you would get that good a response from Countrywide with the world falling down around them.
I’m having my own trouble trying to just get a simple 1099 from Smith Barney, which was due at the beginning of February, but they haven’t quite gotten around to. Now with all the brokerage insanity going on, who knows what will happen!!
Nice playing with you yesterday, albeit briefly. I was running beautifully, then ran into this online special: (Hi-lo) Had A-2-5 showing, all clubs, oh, and by the way, Q-9 of clubs in the hole. The villain of the piece had 10d- Qh-3c showing, and 9h-7h in the hole. That’s right, no possible low hand, no pair, no draw, runner-runner to anything!!!!
On 6th street, I hit the 4 of clubs, and, you guessed it, he got the Kh.
On the river, 9 of clubs for me, and the Ah for him.
A runner-runner one outer!!!! Had never seen that one before in stud.

  2. Clearspine,
I see that every day in every game I play in, a runner runner miracle. And always against my made hand, welcome to my world of Stud8!
