sis is in town

and Vegas is locking down for tomorrow night’s celebration. I started this post from across town – on the iPhone – as I was hanging out in the smoke filled sleeze hall known as the Wild, Wild West, mega long haul truckers stopover. The cigarette smoke almost knocks your nose off your face as you enter, leaving is a wonderful gift to one’s sinuses and overall hair/clothing odor, but it’s where sis and beau stop when coming through town for a few hours break or for a night’s stopover; easy on freeway, easy off freeway, and lots of room for big frigging trucks.

We are at the coach now, they are at the shower house across the street from my place, and soon we’ll be out heading towards Henderson to the Black Angus, steak and lobster are going to be on my plate in the next hour or so…yippee!

I won’t be out in tomorrow night’s melee. We passed Bellagio’s Employee parking garage as we cruised the freeway heading for the coach an hour ago. I couldn’t help but bust out laughing, hearty, over exaggerated laughing, that I wouldn’t be fighting my way into that parking garage for a 10 hour shift tomorrow night. Woo-hoo, yippie-kai-yi, woodee hoodee, and thank you GOD!

On my way to stuff my face, Happy New Year world…just in case I don’t get back here tomorrow!

  1. Linda,
So, this is the only way I could think of to get write you…
My name is Steve Quinn, I live just outside of Dallas, Texas. I had kidney failure in November of 2003, after getting put on dialysis I was doing some internet searches on the subject, and fell onto your page.
Being a pretty dedicated poker player my first thought was "Wow, there is a poker playing dialysis patient out there, thats awesome". After further reading about your brother and others in your life, I figured out how I got on your page, and have enjoyed reading all of your posts for over the last 3 years now.
Anyways, I finally recieved a kidney transplant the day before Halloween from one of my older brothers, and as a gift to myself I am venturing out to Vegas for a week of gambling, good food, and good times. It will be my first trip of ANY kind since I had kidney failure, and I was just wondering if it would be alright if I stopped by the Bellagio and said "hello"??
I will be there Jan. 2nd-7th…email me and let me know.
Thanks for keeping me entertained with your writings the past 3 years.
    Steve Quinn

  2. Hi Steve, I sent you an email via the email address provided with your comment. I hope you received it. Also, if you join our forum, my profile lists all of the chat programs I’m on and my id on them. I’d like to visit, just for kidney sake if nothing else.

Take care, stay well, hope your Vegas visit is profitable and fun.
