I’m on a roll

I’m not sure with what. It’s been a strange few days. I did make it to Suzie’s fake Birthday party. She just wanted to have a party. That was a good time except for NOISE! It was a rock band, the place was small, perhaps it’s the ‘baby boomer’ ear thing, but it was brutal. Pictures coming on that.

I met Carmen on Tuesday night for our ‘Vegas park walk’. Great time, good exercise, good company, and we dined at Mimi’s afterward.

Wednesday was the day I planned to take the Steed in for an oil change. Never made it. I did meet Jennifer Newell for lunch though – she writes for PokerWorks. That was very nice and a great break away from everything that was making me crazy – like lack of sleep, a new phone and trying to move my 335 phone #’s into it, and a variety of other things.

I actually felt like hell on Wednesday. I couldn’t get myself into any kind of chipper mood so I finally gave up and just did the slounge-lounge thing around the coach the rest of the evening.

I had little Miss Cute Face at my place for about five hours today – Thursday. And my son took the Steed in for its oil change and tune up so I got off the hook with that one. N-I-C-E!

The only downside to the day is that I can’t find my glasses. Umnhhhh! I’ve looked everywhere for them, crawling around on hands and knees with the flashlight…it’s tough to lose something in the small space I live in. I’ve been out to the Steed and went through it with a fine tooth comb and the flashlight, (yeah, it’s dark out now). I even walked down to the RV dumpsters because I’d thrown away garbage today, and that’s the only place I can imagine that they, are but the garbage trucks had come and gone. Naw…I don’t know if I would have gotten in and actually dug through everything…well…maybe if I could have spotted something familiar. I did have distinctive garbage today, some boxes that would have been easy to spot, but it was all gone. One more sweep through the coach in the morning and if I can’t find them, I’ll be off to order new ones. Sure, I want to be able to see someone’s nose hairs twitch when I play poker with them – isn’t that why we all wear glasses?

I can remember being in Tijuana when I was much younger and one of the dancers took a guy’s glasses off of his face, folded them up, and they disappeared…er…ahhh…when she pulled them back out, he licked them. Hell…another reason to wear glasses.
On to a subject change. The weather’s cooling down in Vegas. This is a perfect time of year here as far as I’m concerned. Serious hiking weather is coming up.
The end.
