Route 66, Bellagio’s Conservatory

The latest theme is one that us oldies remember. Except I don’t ever recall seeing a Corvette in those days, even if it ran over me I wouldn’t have known what it was. I don’t think anyone in the areas I lived in, even knew what they were either. Click on the thumbnails. This is to the right when entering from the hotel/casino.

These license plate facsimiles were in each area, guess where this one was:

Here are a couple more shots of that little beauty:

Although the first thing you see on the right, as you approach the Conservatory, is the Corvette, this setting is closest to the entrance and lends a completely different view of Route 66.

This is the back of the Conservatory, just before you enter Cafe Bellagio – it’s also where the butterfly house was recently. Where did those butterflies goes? They were pampered and spoiled with the perfect environment, and feeding was a snap with specially prepared meal deals, I can’t help but hope they are fluttering by somewhere else.

Coming around the back side of the ferris wheel, one sees the old lemonade stand back in the corner. Nice! Would there was such a thing now.

The never changing Obelisk, marks the entrance from the Spa Tower:

The left when you enter the Conservatory from the hotel/casino, straight ahead from the Obelisk, this is the back side of a fruit/vegetable stand, peeling paint and all. Damn, it’s looks pretty authentic.

Moving to the front view, the vegetable fruit stands:

This is the center, normally it is a fountain, bubbling with water and some type of water spray or pool. Now it’s a bed of flowers, with a bike and park bench – note the park bench has beer setting on it, I think it’s route 66 beer,

More on the next Conservatory change.
