Another side of poker, the people we meet and become quite loyal to and love their heart, one such person is Karen Vanhorn. I’ve known her for what would seem like a million years – from the early days of the Mirage – when she would drift in to see her husband (ex now). She is a secretary in the poker office at Bellagio. She’s not too difficult to describe – she’s perfect. She has the perfect attitude, the right words at the right time, always helpful, never mean, and a true beauty. Recently when I hit the office to clock in, a group of dealers were talking to her and the subject line was that she is engaged and going to get married. I didn’t even ask who, just gave her a hug and told her how happy I was for her and wished her the best.

Last weekend I was heading out of the Palms with a friend and ran smack into her and Mike Sexton holding hands. What a great looking couple. They look so great together and I love Cinderella stories…*cheers, best wishes*…Mike and Karen.

And Bellagio’s poker room is on fire, it was screaming late into the night with noise, heat, flying chips, and moving bodies. This is a sign of summer heating up. Can I take it? ARGHHHH!!! Time will tell.
