PokerStars 150 seats guaranteed tourney

Kee-rist! I won a $16 satellite, re-buys available, on PokerStars and invested $32 big bucks to take 20th place, that’s all I needed for a $370 buy-in to this baby. It starts in about an hour. Right now there are only 5,681 registered players with a prize pool of $1,990,800. Yippee! I’ll post on this later. I’m ‘PokerWorks’ there if anyone wants to sweat me. And if you’re going to sweat me, cross your fingers, toes, legs, arms, hair (all body hair – that includes pubic), and anything else you can think of, burn a candle, visualize, chant a mantra, that I win a seat…PLEASE!

15 minutes before start – there were 6,636 and the prize pool was 2,324,350

1 min before start – there were 7320 and the prize pool was 2.526.700

it started with 7,377 and a prize pool of 2,581,950

Broke down as follows – 234 entries to tourney the $10,000 WSOP event.

1st thru 234 receive $1,000 235 thur 255 receive $370

256th receives $180

At 1st break there were 5974 players – the largest stack 17,770, average 3067, smallest 115

Me 6,335 – Blinds 50-100

In an hour and 28 min – down to 5113 players

I picked up Q-Q – flop 10-10-8, Q on the turn, against A-K, busted him.

A-3 hearts vs. K-K. Called a small raise pre-flop , flop A-Q-4 one heart. I busted the K-K guy.

Watched Q-Q get picked off by pocket sixes and the very next hand the Q-Q guy picked up A-A and got picked off by A-10 off. Ouch! He was out. Probably broke his key board.

I cracked A-A with presto, flopping a set and all under cards. C Ya Aces.

At 1 hr. 49 minutes – we were down to 4051 players, my stack – 8,930 – blinds 100-200.

Watching the player field drop was like watching the sands of an hour glass, the procession goes on and on.

I looked down to 9-9, facing a raise by one player and an all-in of another, it would have taken half my stack. I folded. One had A-A, one had A-K, a 9 peeled off on the River. Kee-rist! Whoda thunk it?

Running 2 hrs and 5 min. in 3 minutes the blinds are going to 100-200 with a 10 ante

My stack 9,130

3348 players left

2nd break – 3199 players

Largest stack 30490 – Average 5765 – Smallest 90

Me 9,430

Now starts the 100-200 ante 10

Crap – raise in front of me – all-in for $2,??? I fold 6-6, player behind calls, raiser held A-Q – caller had 9-9. Flop Q – turn a 6 – river a Q. Damn it!

I finished 2569. dumb butt. Couldn’t throw away 8-8. I thought it was good. And put him on over cards trying to steal, the board was in my neighborhood, Then by calling twice, I had two much at stake to just pitch, I could’ve caught an 8 for trips or a 9 for a straight. I have some serious flaws in my game play. I had raised it $1000 preflop in that hand, he was in SB and came back at me with a $2,000 raise. I could have just pitched then. But at this point, I also am going to have to amass some chips. One of the worst parts is that I threw away a pair – twice – earlier and turned or rivered a set each time. Not this time. And, as I said, I still thought I was good and he was stealing. He had A-A and he’s probably writing in his blog, ‘busted 8-8. she played that hand like crap!’
