Bang-o-rang!

From the film ‘Hook’. I love that movie. What incredible fantasy and fun. Dustin Hoffman, “No stopping me this time Smee. This is it. Don’t make a moveSmee, not a step. My finger’s on the trigger. Don’t try to stop me Smee. This is it. Don’t try to stop me this time Smee! Don’t try to stop me this time Smee! Don’t you dare try to stop me this time Smee – try to stop me! Smee better get up off your ass. Get over here Smee. Come on Smee,do you think this is all a joke? I’m committing suicide!”The only part I didn’t like was when Rufio died. But the overall of the movie? Loved it! It’s like the WSOP this year. It’s BANG-O-RANG!

No matter where you look, over the field of games and tournaments, there’s someone you know, someone you’ve seen on TV, or someone you’ve played cards with somewhere, and in my case, someone I’ve dealt to somewhere.

I’ve played a few satellites, of course the results haven’t been stellar or I would be screaming about a seat that I won in a main event, and I’ve spent hours cruising the games. It’s exhausting, just watching all of the activity that’s going on in the room boggles the mind.

I hit the Rio early today, meeting Jim AKA the Monkey and Glen, both from Colorado, long time friends. They were here for the weekend which means WATCH OUT LAS VEGAS or Bellagio anyway. We met for breakfast at the Rio, they headed for Bellagio, I headed for a $175 satellite. No good for me. I did take a zillion pictures. When I was ready to give up for the afternoon, I ran into Tanya in the hall way of the convention center. I sat down beside her and visited for a bit. She was playng the Razz event that started at 2 PM. So was Michael Craig andJohn Caldwell, and just as I was deciding that I needed to move around and take pictures of them, Mark Hope appeared. He was in the money in a NLH Event. So…picture time.

John Caldwell put it this way, “I’m getting ready for six hours of torture.” Razz baby!

Tomorrow is another day. My brain is ready to shut down for the night. After all, my hours have changed drastically since I went on LOA. I’m never sure if I’m supposed to be awake or asleep. To make it easy on myself, when I home and sleepy, I just call in the Sand Woman. Truthfully I haven’t missed dealing or the time clock at all, wonder if I will in the next few weeks. Oh…the next few weeks? The latest on the jacks is that Newmar ordered them, they are going to arrive at their shop (where ever the hell that is) on the 27th of July. Then they will be shipped to Wheeler in Las Vegas. Nice circuitous route. It’s a good thing I had no plans. *sarcastic laughter*.

This is now my favorite picture – until I find one to replace it with – McDonalds is for the birds. BANG-O-RANG baby!
