Pahrump is waiting

I’m out the door in 10 – back out to the new future digs. It’s been a crazy kind of ride but not as crazy as some moves I’ve made or according to what a lot of humanity goes through when they purchase a place.

A landscaper/excavator has been on property the last few days. Sis and I are having a gravel road bed laid in a horseshoe shape around the back of the property so it’s an easy drive way for me to pull in and out with the coach. It also makes an easy drive path for Vickie and Monte since we all have rigs. The soil/silt is the reason for the gravel. When it rains, you can’t drive on it…so every local has told me and one day of being out in the back of the property with the well guy when it rained proved their point. The stuff sticks to your tires and shoes and packs up – and it’s almost impossible to get off once it dries. I was walking on 3 inch silt packed soles within 100 yards.

We are also having all of the lines for the coach laid underground. All the connections for the coach were front side and that would leave me with a sewer drain hose, 50 amp cable, and a water line running across our community yard, ugh!

Today I meet with an electrician that laid the conduit and pulled the wire for the coach and another line from the main supply source to the shed. After he finishes up with other projects at the new digs today, the landscaper is finishing up to. Grab that check book, Linda! The nice part about Pahrump is it’s still small town enough that they take personal checks. That may not seem amazing to most of you but try it in Las Vegas.

Once all of this is done, it’s back to Vegas and the RV park until Monday when I go back to Pahrump to meet with the propane company at the new digs. The propane line was dropped underground also but the actual tank won’t be set up until Monday and all the fittings will be checked and the stove and furnace and the lines will be checked for leaks or problems. The underground line will allow me to hook up while I’m on property for cooking and furnace when it’s cold. Right now I can barely remember it being cold since we’re full bore summer heat in Vegas.

Then it’s back to Vegas and the coach for another three or four days and I start the trip north to the family reunion. I thought about driving out and staying this weekend thru the point of leaving for Idaho but what the hell…with the price of diesel and my lot rent is paid, why add to the cost of everything just to get out of town?

And the dentist…shit! I go back in for new crowns when I come home from Idaho…really Santa, All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth!

Kayanna made it safely home! Love that girl.

This weekend may find me with plenty of posting time and I have some pictures to put up. Over and out…
