Twas just before Christmas, with no snow in sight, Bellagio’s Conservatory is a beautiful sight.

This and That about That
‘That’ would entail everything that has been going on since my fellow bloggers left town. That was over a week ago and I’m just catching up on current events. I have night pictures of Bellagio’s Conservatory that will go up soon – I will also take early a.m. shots when natural light is streaming through the skylight but they may not be as impressive as the night shots. All I do is wake up, work on the computer, answer emails, chat here and there with someone about/on the website, take my daily walk, shower, and head for Bellagio so I can sign the E/O Play list. *Why doesn’t she just quit? Psst! Rumor has it that she hasn’t managed to scrape all of the dust off of the shelves and get everything organized enough financially to just cut and run.* Besides, I love Bellagio! It’s my home. And I have some of my best fun just kicking chips around in the $4-8H games there. Perfect examples would be: Continue reading This and That about That
Bloggers in night shot!
You know the routine, click on the thumbnail for the big picture. If you want the picture, right click on it, left click on ‘save’, and enjoy. No names, no links, no high falootin’ tootin’, just pictures. And night shot has a tendency to sometimes give one the appearance of Dracula type of eyes…just go with it. Continue reading Bloggers in night shot!
Farewell Bloggers and how I got stood up for lunch
Sorry kids, no links to blogs today, too tired and I don’t have the energy to go through it all…but that doesn’t mean I don’t love you lots, I do. On Thursday of last week, I called Maudie to see when she was coming in, during our conversation she said she would love to have lunch/dinner with Iggy and me on Sunday if at all possible. She had some plans of her own during the trip and Sunday would work out best. I jumped on it. Of course I would and it would be great fun. Poker Bloggers Galore IV
*post continued* As the tournament progressed, our table broke down and I was moved to a tablewith Iggy. I spent so much time running for pictures in between hands that I missed a lot of the action, and as usual, I can’t remember most of the names of the people that were at this table. Perhaps next event should find me just walking around with a camera and not even filling a seat?
Poker Bloggers Galore III
I keep shifting off to do other things instead of doing what I really want to do, that is writing about the Bloggers in town over the weekend. Iggy and I found a spot to sit and visit privately for a few minutes before we rejoined the Sport’s Book Blogger Crowd. Someone, I can’t even remember who right now, teased me about not being too hard on Iggy since I was his boss…sheesh! Like yeah right! It’s hard to be the boss of a blogger…that’s why we blog…we don’t want a boss telling us what towrite in our blog. Continue reading Poker Bloggers Galore III
Poker Bloggers Galore – II
*post continued* Over a few days time, I threw up a few random posts and thoughts on Blogger Doings. It’s really difficult to put too much together out of it because everyone is so much fun and so receptive to being together that there is no major issue or noise going on. Everyone just sort of goes their own way and does what they want and then manages to come back together as if the string of blogging minds had never been broken by leaving. After the Wynn buffet, everyone sort of drifted off.
Poker Bloggers Galore!
Starting from the beginning – Pauly was hosting a drink-a-thon at the Geisha Bar at the Imperial Palace on Thursday night, the 7th. Everyone was on the invited list and I had to do the usual time clock episode at Bellagio. I knew Craig (CC) was coming into town, and on my way to work, I sent him a text message asking where he was. Response: Caesars u? Continue reading Poker Bloggers Galore!
At least he got my name right!
“Linda Geenen has been blogging about poker for a long time, for longer than I even knew what a blog was.
“She’s a dealer at the Bellagio. I remember some long ago threads on rec.gambling.poker about her making posts full of gossip about the players in the big game (that she sometimes dealt) and getting in trouble with management about.
“Well, duh. If you work in the hospitality industry, even in a non-professional job like dealing, you are expected to perserve the privacy of the guests. That’s pretty much the way things work. Poker dealers with blogs aren’t exempt.
“But she’s still there, at least she didn’t lose her job over such extreme non-professional behavior.”
Whose Toy is this?
Another shortie before I head across the valley to our WPBT Winter Classic Tournament – hosted at Caesar’s Palace. I’m inhaling my coffee, trying to get my eyes to work -this day life is killing me. I do not know how you people fade the traffic and the sun in your eyes every day, give me the beautiful Moon Goddess, bathing me with soft, silvery light as my guiding star, and let me sleep through humanities insane rush to hurry up and go nowhere.
