Celebrating Independence Day in America!  NOT!  I’m sorry to report that we are under the control of idiots that want to keep us nailed down in our little section of morality.  But other than that, Happy 4th of July America!

I railed the Ladies Event of the WSOP from the live stream really hoping and rooting for Karina Jett to take it down.  She took 2nd place – she’s very preggers and I can’t even fathom how hard it must have been to grind it out to the end from the physical effort it took. Job well done Karina!!!

Plus, I railed it because I wanted Jonathan Epstein to go bust and hoped my extra energy would make it so!  This is apparently the last year that men will be able to enter due to new legislation that has passed but wouldn’t go into effect until after the Ladies Event.  I had this disgusting, horrible thought that it would really go down in history if he won it and it was the last year men could ever enter.  He made it to the final table, going out in 9th place and I watched that on the live stream.  The crowd was going insane when he went all-in and was all-out!

Back to the 4th, no fireworks for me, other than trying to calm my dog and keep her nose unglued from my side when she hears them going off.  She’s a bit shy about those things – and thunder makes her crazy.  She’d go out and jump right in the middle of a 12 foot dog but make some noise and she’s in my hip pocket.  Riot and I pulled out his BB gun one day and she went and hid.  Which leads me to believe she’s been around guns before.

I figure to have a relatively quiet kinda 4th, with no fanfare.  I may go look for a freeroll on Carbon Poker or one of the sites that still takes US players.  Kinda jonesing for poker right now.
