One thing that continually jumps into my thoughts as of late is where is our President?  Why isn’t he at least addressing the public on the issue of online poker?  He may have a million things on his plate but poker should be there too since he – by now – has to know there are many angry Americans that have been deprived of their freedom, income, ability to work the job they choose.  For Obama to continue to ignore the issue speaks badly of the whole administration in my view. 

I donated to his campaign fund.  He isn’t donating to my livelihood or freedom of choice by hiding in the oval office.

The internet is filled with news about the DoJ slamming their power fist in the air and issuing indictments and warrants, arrests made, fines paid, and who’s to blame.  The whole thing has reached the level of insanity but no word from our President.  The states may legalize it, the casinos want to own it, there’s billions to be made from regulation, legalization, and licensing but our President chooses to ignore it. Why?

Why not take a giant step forward for mankind/womankind in the US and tell everyone just to quit the shit, set up a committee to begin the licensing process and issue temporary licenses in the meantime while the whole package is being designed and set up.  No one in the world better knows how to manage the key points of what makes poker work than a long time tournament director or poker room manager.  A panel could be appointed out of the most qualified…Matt Savage definitely comes to mind.  Appoint a banking commission to oversee the funds and control the money handling so there is no question of bank fraud or money laundering and make sure all taxes, licenses, payments, age requirements, etc., are all regulated.

WAKE UP LINDA!!!  WAKE UP!!!

Oh yeah, got caught dreaming again.  It would really be too much I suppose for the dumb butts that protect our morality to even begin to figure it out.
