No matter how many times I half clear out my new messages, bring in articles by writers, answer emails, log email items in an excel file or post or send off to a shared tracking program or put emails into their respective folders, each time I look back there are 7 to 8 new messages, it’s been that way since 5 a.m. and I’m feeling a bit defeated right now. I simply can’t catch up. Wish I was still tanking down wine because I’d be buried in a gallon of it right now and then it wouldn’t feel so bad.

On other news, I believe that PokerStars dumped their 70K guaranteed $10+1 rebuy tourney they had in the a.m. and the p.m. They – as of late – had to put in funds to meet the guarantee. It’s one of my favorite afternoon tournies and I’ve cashed in it a goodly number of times relative to buy-in. I haven’t had time to play much anyway, but I’m hoping they bring it back. My son says they will put another one up with a lesser guarantee, I’m sure he’s right but I’m not sure I’ll be playing in it.

I’ve had a lot of fun with photos I took at the WSOP for the event recaps and for the commentary/gossip articles. Since PokerWorks went through its major facelift a few weeks ago, things just aren’t as orderly and ‘fixed’ as I would like them to be…no shit? They are being worked on. One of the issues is that we cannot add additional images to an article, we can only put in one so I started using a few of mine. Have you ever wondered what Mickey Appleman looks like? Maybe you already know but I’ve dealt to him since my first venture to Vegas in 1997 and I swear he looks just like he did then…add a few years…but still the same. He’s the image in this article. Danny I’ve dealt to too many times at Bellagio, somewhere in the pages of Tango there’s a post on him. Marwan and I go back to the early days of the Mirage. I have no idea who this gal is but she’s got a strong face and a great sleeve (tattoo) so she’s the image on this article. And each face has nothing to do with the article contents.

Riot stayed with me for two days and wanted to go to his mom’s house so I took him back to Vegas. I talked to him yesterday and he wants to come to my house. OK. I have a dental appointment on Thursday, I told him I’d pick him up. It’s a long road between here and Vegas but some people are worth it. 🙂 We looked for rabbits and saw quail with their newly hatched teeny followers while he was here. I have plans to take him to the Pahrump duck pond and have a picnic this trip out…I even dried bread to throw to the ducks. Hope we make it.

I feel horrible…not the flu, a kind of cyclic run of something that may have to do with BP medication or something that is going haywire in my system. Yesterday found me taking 3 naps as I couldn’t focus on anything or stay awake and felt light headed and weird. I’m not a very happy sick person. Go figure! It’s almost as if I’m having an allergic reaction to something but hell if I can figure it out. It’s been going on (off and on) for about a year now.
