That’s a real can of worms isn’t it? Sundays can be so much to so many. Online poker players generally see it as huge poker tournaments at some of the best online poker sites in the world. It is a day of big guaranteed tournaments and cheap ways to get there, a day of playing the PokerWorks H.O.R.S.E. tournament (bi-weekly), a day of slumming and bumming at the computer and having your family cook for you and cater to your food-a-holic wishes…and make sure your HORSE tournament opponents know you are getting the good grub while you are playing. Sorry about that, I was just thinking about the fresh garlic knots and wishing I had some.
To get to Sunday I spent most every waking moment with Riot – throw in a nap or four and his sleeping in gave me a bit of a break. We went into Vegas on Tuesday for a dental appointment. If I had a ton of bucks, I could spend more hours in the chair and resolve the issue of the bite. Since I don’t, it will go on hold and life will continue on with the retainer as my bedtime lollipop. With a few trips in and out of town for groceries, we stayed in the coach, the weather sucked. All kinds of wind and rain and spit and storm going on, and we couldn’t get out and search the property for rabbits. Riot is always planning on catching a rabbit. I’ve asked what he will do with it when he does, to which he replies, “I’m gonna catch that rabbit.”
Riot’s dad picked him up yesterday and they headed to Las Vegas for a few days. Grannie gets a breather…yippee! Riot called last night and asked me to come and pick him up. He’d been at home about six hours. Guess the boy likes grannie’s house.
Intermittent poker was played while Riot was here. I did play the PokerWorks H.O.R.S.E. – and won *woot woot* – played a few small limit live holdem games and some tourneys, not much to talk about there unless you want to hear about Aces getting busted and I’m sure you don’t because you get your own share of them beat.
Glenda and I played 3 tournaments yesterday (Saturday). She was drinking rum and pepsi, I was drinking soy milk. Is there a comparison?
I placed in the $10+1 HORSE tourney – barely, and won $4.60, lost $8.80 and $11 in the two other tourneys. Boo Hiss! Managed a win in the $1-2 Badugi. I may have broken close to even for the day. Yah, it was all at PokerStars. Today, Sunday, we both decided to give the 200K a whirl. I whirled myself right out of action just after first break. Glenda is still in…I’d love to see the woman cash for big bucks. Scratch that…she just busted.
Tonight there may be more poker games dancing before my eyes but for now there are other things to do, like tidy bowl chores, web site work, kicking back enjoying my own quiet time, and just hanging out with a glass of soy milk on a Sunday. The wind is whipping up again and in a way, that’s a very good thing. The boys next door won’t be out riding the 50 around the property. Yippee! And I have a massage scheduled for this afternoon. A giant YIPPEEE!
And just so ya know, I write for me, if you come along for the read, I appreciate your sharing life with me, but Table Tango is not required reading, so if you show up for lack of something better to do, get a life. My recollections and life assessments are meant for my enjoyment and memories as I read back, if you don’t like the content, don’t let the mouse hit you on the way out. There are plenty of other places to read and you’re sure to find one that suits your tastes.
Don’t let Perambulation get to you, Kiddo. Hi, to Bringham.
I’ll be sure to tell Bringham that you sent him a hello. He would want to know about your cows…if he could pet them…and if they bite. That’s a serious question now about everything that isn’t human, “Do they bite you?”
You’re the best, have a great day.
