PokerWorks’ HORSE tournament was so damned much fun. It’s one of the few tournaments I’ve played in that I really had a lot of fun. You can pick up the final tournament report here. And we will have another one set to go – same format, buy-in, etc. – checking here will keep you updated.
In a way, the Pahrump scene is so laid back, one could get fat and lazy doing not much of anything. In the stead of never a slow time or dull moment, I have been bludgeoning myself with poker tournaments on PokerStars. The results are not very satisfactory. If I can’t win and I state it, am I whining? Or just telling it like it is? I could just lie and say I was winning every time I play like some people I’ve heard talk about playing machines and poker over the years. Or I could talk about farts in the wind. Or any number of subjects that skirted the dead run of cards I’ve been having in poker for way too long now. Rather than spin a tale of nothing about something, I’ll just stick with the truth and tell it like it is. War is hell and poker is murder mixed with a lot of hell right now.
Tomorrow is a return trip to the dentist to hopefully get the final permanent crowns put on my two front teeth, and have a hard retainer built to keep me from grinding my teeth off when I sleep…must be dreaming about all those beats.
My little buddy Riot will be making the return trip home with me for a few days. That will be a real treat.
And this little girl is a treat for the eyes. The title of this picture is “Ready for Rain”. It was taken by Rain’s mom at the family reunion. SWEET!
Off to do some yard work and then more poker wars as the light fades from the sky.
