I can remember thinking that I couldn’t imagine my life without poker in it, on a daily basis, now I wonder…it seems so far away and unimportant. I need a kick to get started playing again. Other than playing on Duplicate Poker, I haven’t played. I’ve been more or less house bound except for some exercise sessions/hikes, and outings to meet with family and a few friends. Perhaps in the next few weeks I’ll be out again, grinding in a live game. Time will tell.

In the meantime, seeing these faces gives me another perspective on poker, the inner thoughts, the needs, the wants, of all of these people that come to compete with each other for a piece of gold to wear on their arm and the victory of knowing they beat everyone to walk away a champion. I don’t know if the perspective is frightening or uplifting, I just know there’s a lot of emotional energy raging across the green felt and maybe that’s what I’m not ready to stare at right now so I’ll just opt for the pictures.
