On Wednesday I received a phone call from ex-dealing pal (still my pal), Marty. He filled me in on what times the Super Satellites to the main events were and the cost, telling me I really should play in one since I wanted a seat in the main event. Yes, he’s right. I had dinner with my two boys and my nephew and we talked about Dan and I playing a super satellite and splitting out anything we won. We agreed it was a deal, we’d do it on Thursday. I woke up early Thursday a.m. to remember that I had plans with Carole and Gordon for dinner, they were coming to my house. Kee-rist! I called Dan and told him he should go play anyway and we’d go halves on the entry fee. I also told him the only thing as good as me being the first woman to win the WSOP would be his winning it.
He did go play! He called me several times during the night to give me a progress report, the satellite started two hours late. UGH! The good news is that he called me about 1:30ish a.m. and said, “We’re going to be involved in poker next week.”
WOO HOO Dan! Way to go! What a rush! He’s doing what I wanted to do but I’d love it if he did it first.
what is Dan’s last name so I can follow his progress?
Nelson. thanks Shawn.
Oh Linda, that’s such good news! Best of luck to you and Dan.
