I can’t help but wonder who will be the first high profile player to take the fall…er…ahhh…stand against the UIGEA. Perhaps my brain isn’t registering all of what’s happened correctly.
Am I misunderstanding everything to do with the shitty new form of government control? Or is it possible that the boys behind FullTilt – Howard Lederer, Andy Bloch, Phil Ivey, et al – and Doyle Brunson behind Doyle’s Room, and Daniel Negreanu behind FullContact- and any one else that has anything to do with collecting income from a site that runs gambling – will end up in the slammer with cuffs on their wrists?
Help me out here, am I wrong in thinking this is a possibility? I just can’t see Doyle being shuffled off to prison in the back of a police car.

Linda, you make some very valid points that I feel have been ignored elsewhere. Why would the government NOT go after these high-profile players who own and/or advertise for "illegal" online poker sites. The idea of Brunson in cuffs is not so unthinkable to me — it was only a matter of months ago that there were allegations that the IRS were going to put him away for tax evasion (I have no idea how that all ended up). To me, it is only a matter of time because going after a big name is the best way for the government to show the public that it "means business." Good luck to those high profile pros.
